Fantasy Virtual Chinese Grand Prix 2020 (at least 130 GBP in prizes)

Post by Zweeler »

Organised by Formula 1, there are well-known drivers and prominent figures competing against each other in virtual races. Every driver has their own simulator with steering wheel and pedals at home and uses one of the F1 cars of the Formula 1 game. The cars are adjusted equally, so it really comes down to driving skills.

This Sunday evening the Virtual Chinese Grand Prix is set to take place. It can be followed live from 19.00 hours CET via the Formula 1 YouTube channel and Sky Sports. They start with a short qualification and finish with a race of 28 laps. There are seven current F1 drivers on the grid including Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz. This combined with some talents and drivers from other series will give us an exciting Sunday evening.

The Fantasy Virtual Chinese Grand Prix 2020 starts on Sunday 19 April 2020 at 19:00 hours CET.

To create a team you have a budget of 149 million euro to buy 6 drivers. Your drivers will score points based on their results in the race (race points) and the difference with their qualification position (bonus points).

Suppose you picked Lewis Hamilton and he qualifies as eighth and finishes the race as second. Hamilton will then score 125 race points and 6 bonus points. 131 points in total. He will receive 6 bonus points because he won 6 positions compared to the qualifications.

Drivers who are not finishing will also receive points. The first DNF (did not finish) will be classified as 20th, then next DNF as 19th etc.. Suppose you choose Max Verstappen and he qualifies as 10th and is the 3rd DNF, he will be classified in the race as 18th. In this example Verstappen will score 15 race points and -8 bonus points. 7 points in total. He scores -8 bonus points because he lost 8 positions compared to the qualifications.

The game will cost £4.35 per team and will start with a guaranteed amount of £130.40 in prizes. The first prize will be £41.73 (5 GC prizes).
