I had genuinely forgotten that I had been converted.

The plane DOES take off.

If the plane was stationary the belt wouldn't turn so that theory is illogical.

Plane = +200mph
Conveyor = -200mph
Wheel speed = +400mph and irrelevant

(To save anybody reading through and going "where are they now?" about 80% of the posters....)
