Got a turntable for my birthday (went for the RP1 in the end) so working my way through some of my old Vinyl
Cleaning each one before I play them and putting them in new plastic lined inners as well seeing as most of them haven't been played for nearly 30 years!

You were a few years ahead of me. 1st cd was Carters 101 Damnations (1990). Bought the LP then an hour later went back to the shop, swapped it for a cd and then went to buy a CD player from Curry’s to play it on.

My first compact disks were 1985/86 and came along with my cd player. I chose them from a list read over the telephone to me. 90125 by Yes and Look Sharp by Joe Jackson.

Not Brothers in Arms then??? Thought that was compulsory if you had a CD player (although I managed to avoid it so there must have been some loopholes!)

No, never had Brother In Arms.

Got their first album on vinyl when it came out which now has a fairly major scratch on it.

Oh the perils of vinyl.
