Someone got engaged?
Apparently someone has got engaged today and the news has gone bonkers! Surely someone else must have got engaged yesterday as well but I didn't see anything on the news.

Re: Someone got engaged?
Good luck to the guy, although he was born into a privileged family (not a lot he could do about that) he does a lot good work and is well-liked by the public.
It's sure to put a smile on the faces of many and that's never a bad thing. For what it costs, it's sure to recoup the expenditure many times over as did Will's and Kate's wedding with an estimated cost of £15m but boosted the economy by 2 billion (according to The Guardian)

Hope they have a nice life together, genuinely. He seems a decent fella.

To say nothing of creating the greatest constitutional crisis of the first half of the 20th century.
At least this time we have a popular coupling, just that it may be about to coincide with a Brexit created constitutional crisis.

Re: Someone got engaged?
Two questions.
1. When’s the stag do
2. Will it be a bank holiday

Re: Someone got engaged?
He’s only fifth in line to the Iron Throne (probably sixth by then...) so a bank holiday is a long shot unfortunately!Spinynorman wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 16:28
I doubt very much that the stag do will be given a bank holiday. Would make more sense anyway to have it the day after.

So if all those in line in front of him were to be involved in some sort of tragic accident that resulted in Harry being 1st in line we may get a bank holiday?forestfan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 19:57He’s only fifth in line to the Iron Throne (probably sixth by then...) so a bank holiday is a long shot unfortunately!Spinynorman wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 16:28

Would we also get bank holidays for the funerals?

We'd get a lot more than a Bank Holiday - unfortunately everything may be shut in some sort of massive mourning thingSurprised wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 20:16So if all those in line in front of him were to be involved in some sort of tragic accident that resulted in Harry being 1st in line we may get a bank holiday?forestfan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 19:57He’s only fifth in line to the Iron Throne (probably sixth by then...) so a bank holiday is a long shot unfortunately!Spinynorman wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 16:28
