What are they all about and are you supposed to light both wicks? :?

Fork handles could have several (usually four) short, sturdy tines.

But in this case there are two and therefore four wicks.

They were actually invented by a wise old owl, known to have an eye for the ladies.

When asked why he invented it he just said "two wick to woo"

I was wandering around a small market last weekend and there was actually a 'handmade candles' stall there. I thought of this thread but didn't manage to pluck up the courage to ask the lady behind the table your question.

However I'm now waiting for a documentary to appear on the telly about the history of the humble candle. Probably be presented by Ruby Wax...
