Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Jamie Vardy will be in the Leicester squad to face Aston Villa in Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

Striker Vardy, 33, picked up a gluteal injury during the Foxes' 4-1 Premier League win over West Ham on Wednesday.

"He's in the squad and we'll give it another full day," said Foxes boss Rodgers. "It's one where, if you're asking me if he's 100%, he may be 80%."

He added: "I'd rather have an 80% Jamie Vardy. He's come through the last two days on the field well - he has a part to play."

Sorry I don't think that's a good summary. The quote is: Lampard said Abraham has not fractured his ankle but doubt remains over when Chelsea’s leading goalscorer will return. “We were worried about a hairline fracture,” Lampard said. “We still have to see how he develops. He’s not fit for the weekend but whether he’ll be fit for Leicester after that I’m still not sure.”

Sadio Mane is set to miss Liverpool’s trip to West Ham United on Wednesday evening, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed.

“Sadio will not be involved for West Ham and probably not for Southampton,” said the manager. “After that he should be then fine.

“The week we have then after that is for him perfect to get back on track [Winter Break].

“He has a small muscle tear, which is serious enough to keep him out. We were lucky with the injury as well, so it was not that serious.

“But of course, when you have three games in a week then that means he is out for these three games.”

Following surgery, our medical staff shall be reviewing management options for Son’s rehabilitation with the player expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks.
