LFC Update

Agger - "We'll see how he is in the next 24 hours. It's too early to say if he'll be ready for the weekend or not. We're hopeful he'll be fine by the weekend."
Kelly - played 90 minutes for U21s "So he's getting close"
Coutinho - "He's only just having it [op] today so the timescale from the medics is obviously up to six weeks. We wouldn't anticipate any sooner than that."

Liverpool have confirmed that Glen Johnson suffered a high ankle sprain.

After being examined by the club's medical staff at Melwood, Johnson is required to rest his ankle this week.

A further review will then take place to check stability and decide on further management.

Therefore, Liverpool have not put a timeframe on Johnson's return to fitness at this stage.
Johnson had his cast/support/boot thing taken off yesterday. Rodgers: "Hopefully in the next couple of weeks he will be back."

Meanwhile the Mirror are reporting/speculating that Walcott will be out for two weeks with a stomach strain. No quotes or even 'a source said'.

Arsenal confirm Walcott "will have a minor procedure on his abdomen" “Theo will be out for a few weeks.... He will have the procedure in Germany on Wednesday and, because it’s so minor, we can begin his rehab immediately. We are pleased it’s being dealt with quickly and he shouldn’t miss too many Arsenal matches. But he will miss the forthcoming international matches with England.”

Liverpool have offered an update on the injury sustained by Daniel Agger during Sunday's FA Cup third-round victory over Oldham Athletic.

The centre-back limped out of the clash with just under 10 minutes remaining at Anfield, and scans conducted on Tuesday confirmed he suffered a calf strain.

Agger will now undergo further assessment by the club's medical staff to determine the extent of the problem.

EDIT - THURSDAY UPDATE
Jyllands-Posten journalist Troels Henriksen on Twitter: [Liverpool defender] Daniel Agger expects to be out for four weeks because of calf injury he tells @jyllandsposten Thursday. (no idea how genuine this is but was posted by BBC so fairly safe I guess.....)
