touch wood... we should have a fully fit squad; so pretty much the first team reserves;

Adrian
Neco Williams
Lovren
Matip
Milner
Lallana
Keita
Chirivela / Jones
Shaqiri
Origi
Minamino

How silly. For the pretence that the league is still in play. Oh well, long may it continue as far as I'm concerned. Doubles and trebles don't grow on trees, no matter how invincible they look right now.

League games either side and Atletico decider the week after = rests

Sat 15th 17:30Norwich CityA-SkySports
Tue 18th 20:00Atletico MadridA-BT Sport
Mon 24th 20:00West Ham UnitedH-SkySports
Sat 29th 17:30WatfordA-SkySports
TBCChelseaA-
Sat 7th 12:30BournemouthH-BT Sport
Wed 11th 20:00Atletico Madrid

Will be as Zimmerman said but slightly weaker due to injuries between now and then etc - eg if now then no Origi as has been covering for Mane. Would personally guess at Chirivella, Jones, Elliott, Williams + 7 seniors

The kids last night largely played better than the jaded/rusty seniors in the original match. They do need some senior heads to help though, especially against a fairly strong Chelsea team.

On that list the Chelsea game is the 3rd most important one to pick a team for. Maybe 2nd if the first leg goes well.

Are you predicting Klopp's teams, or saying what you'd like to see. Or at they the same thing?

The league games remain important until it is won. FA Cup remains 3rd priority.

I am really predicting what Klopp will do but I largely agree with him (would have given returning players option of playing last night though - maybe he did and they had holidays booked? Still need a mental holiday/break if not a physical one). I would rather not play any under 23s other than the 4 I noted as they are a level below. A lot depends on the form and injuries in the meantime so it could all change. Even theoretically we can't win league on 7th (if we win them all and City/Leicester lose too - not going to happen quite that quick but next/Everton game is possible)

isn't the Chelsea game on the Thursday (weirdly)? I assume it could be moved for TV to earlier in the week?

Sat 15th Norwich City (a)
Tue 18th Atletico Madrid (a)
Mon 24th West Ham United (h)
Sat 29th Watford (a)
Tue - Thur Chelsea (a)
Sat 7th Bournemouth (h)
Wed 11th Atletico Madrid (h)

I think in reality Darby that we still want to keep players fit (for the CL).
I think the FA Cup (and consequently doubles) are now fairly meaningless.

Did anybody get giddy about Citys haul last season?
I think the fact its now been done multiple times it lost some of the appeal too.

i.e. when Liverpool did it in 86 was that only the second time ever?
Since then lots of teams have managed it.

Granted the treble would be something... but so would the League and CL double.
So would 100 points
So would being undefeated

7 games in 30 days is a tough gig in any terms. So if something needs de-prioritising, it would be the FA Cup.

I’d have thought the (proper) Treble just about trumps going undefeated... it’s a close one though, both would be firsts for Liverpool, the treble has been done once as opposed to going undefeated in the top flight having been done twice, albeit one of them in 1888-89! And quadruple including WCC would be unique?

Lads, you are in the grip of a Klopp led delusion. The league is over, enjoy the longest victory lap in history. One down, two to go.

The cup game is in the middle of Watford and Bournemouth!!

Oh contraire... I don’t think it’s Klopp delusion; it’s fans with 30 years of heartbreak that are leading the charge (denial).

I completely agree but happy for them to deprioritise the cup as a) I'm a Chelsea fan and we ain't winning anything else this year and b) it would be really helpful for FPL if Liverpool didn't blank in 31

Exactly.

I was still a student the last time we won the league. I'm now retired

It'll all be MU's fault having bought Ighalo and just imagine the fallout 😂😂😂

Hopefully we'll have it sealed before it incubates in whoever Ighalo infects

The conspiracy theorist in me does like it though. It does explain the rushed transfer when, if they really wanted a striker, they've had two transfer windows to sort one out.

You could be 40 points clear with one game to go and... season not completed, title not awarded
