Yep. Didn't watch much last night but dipped in to test it and it seemed to work well.

Someone on Radio 5 this morning said that last nights Burnley v Man City streaming on Amazon was about 1 minute 45 seconds behind real time, which is generally going to be the case surely.

Yeah, will eff things up for people who like in-play betting, and also you have to turn off goal alert apps or hide your phone!

The "All games" thing looks good. Like watching Soccer Saturday but instead of the idiot performing monkeys describing goals you get to see the replays of the actual goals.

No Jeff though.

Only problem is it was showing the Liverpool game on my mobile 10 seconds ahead of the live channel on my laptop Image

Picture on my mobile a lot better than my laptop. Think any issues there are due to better/modern processors etc. Just my guess.

This does seem to be the future. Even if it is season passes for your club rather than all games.

Need to scrap the silly kick off times and overlaps though.

Its bandwidth at their end, hence smaller screens being better....

Not just that the bigger screen magnifies faults.
Mobile picture stays perfect while laptop loses quality regularly.

Exactly. They can't get enough 1's and 0's dien the pipe for big screens... That's why big screens are fine on static shots as less pixels change...

Saw a clip on Twitter of Simon Jordan (ex-Palace owner) suggesting The Premier League should manage their own tv when the current ones expire.

Ie they start their own subscription platform (a la Netflix) and charge £10 a month.

I have to say, it sounds too good to be true.
Why have they not already done this? Sounds like an absolute winner.

Maybe they were waiting for technology to catch up. Now Netflix and Prime have show the streaming way... no need for the infrastructure hardware (Sky boxes etc).

Sky and BT subscriptions are not all that. Most of us are sick of the 70-100 monthly outlay.

£10 a month though? Pretty much everybody would be willing to pay that Wouldnt they? Even if there was zero other content. You paid £10 a month and you got to watch 4 games a weekend (to fit the current model).

I’d pay it in a heart beat. Probably paid close to that for a dodgy subscription that’s pretty good (without being perfect).

Depends what you get. 10 for everything is great.

But is it your club or all games? Extra for CL? Domestic cups??

They need 1.5bn a year to match the current deal?
Or over a 9 month period.
5m paying £10 = £50m = £450m
Will they get more than 5m subscribing?
Can they make a billion from advertising 🤣

How the %#^* do Sky and BT pay so much for the rights!!!!

I suppose it encourages you to end up with £70, £80, £90 a month Sky bill.
