Well, it seemed to perhaps be moving towards the end for him there but the timing is remarkable. If they get this wrong it could genuinely be a relegation battle.

So what next? At this stage it surely has to be a veteran troubleshooter. Mourinho and Benitez would be the obvious names. Harry Redknapp until the end of the season? Would Rodgers jump ship from Leicester at this moment in time? Dare I mention Wenger (anything George Graham can do...)

The other question to follow is whether Man Utd will act on his availability before someone else does...

You have to assume they have someone decent lined up to replace him? Jose? Allegri? Naglesmann? Howe? Ten Hag?

Not sure if Kane would really want to move in January with the Euros approaching, or that they would even listen to offers for him, particularly if they’re still looking over their shoulders (or alternatively back in the top four battle). If they’re not in the CL he has his pick of destinations across Europe in the summer.

Atm they have no chance of the CL?

Given he turned down Bayern for FIFA recently it’s probably a bit far-fetched... he probably still has property in North London though

Well, it depends if Leicester fall away, in which case they could yet get into a three-way scrap with United and Arsenal for fourth place.

It’s not like NFL where you can clear the decks half way through a lost season

Do you think Lei will fox this?

Make your mind up relegation battle or top 4 😂😂😂

I guess it's stuff like this that makes the Ipswich\Forest pain worth it 😎😎😎

Well, there’s six points between 5th and 17th. It really is like the Championship, if you take Liverpool out of the equation. Everything is possible. And if Vardy gets injured Leicester end up about 10th.

Jose totally the wrong fit for Spurs.

5 months after a Champions League final - madness.

Jose at 1/3.

Got to be worth laying that.

...and putting your prospective winnings on Unai Emery.

Nuno ES would be a great fit for Spurs IMO. Not sure how likely that would be however.

If they want someone currently in a job (particularly at a PL rival) they probably need to appoint a stopgap and wait until the summer.

Well unless they have somebody lined up already, some stop gap is needed as all Poch's backroom staff have gone as well. Chris Hughton maybe? (I'm assuming they won't approach Sol as an ex player caretaker  )
