I haven't played at PKR for a while now, the reason I stopped -
you need a high spec machine and still be prepared for the the software to crash at very inconvienient times, it takes so long to log back in you can go from a very strong tournament position to blinded out.
Anyone that enters this comps and wins one of the prizes, I suggest raked tables and don't hit auto blinds! Avoid tables with slow players, the longer you have to wait the more chance of losing hands thru not being able to play them through There's bound to be some rule to prevent you just taking the cash out (no, won't be reading them) turn it around as quickly as possible, withdraw and uninstall the software!

Thanks guy's, now I've seen it all...
However liking to watch TV Poker I have just registered with the site and entered a team.
However does the pokerplayer site update you, show a league table or what?
If not, do we need to post our teams somewhere here before the start date of this game to show what they genuinely was... over to you Karrde?
My teams name - 'BARLEY CREW 'DREAM TEAM' PRO'S'

I think you are onto something here.djnuttie wrote:I didn't notice the ladies event .
I went for some of the old school (Cloutier, Reese, Forrest, Mckevoy) as they go in for the HORSE event which doesn't attract a large field
Good Luck
A lot of the newer players only excel at no limit and pot limit holdem which means they will have limited opportunity to score points in this selection of events.
I have also gone for the all rounders..

Some info from Justin Bonomo's blog entry
People are making all kinds of prop bets for the WSOP. Negreanu is taking bets at 5-1 odds against him winning a bracelet this year. For what it's worth, I think he's a significant favorite in that bet.
People were betting on Barry Greenstein with the odds at 3.5-1. Barry was also putting himself heads up against other people. He gave Mike Wattel 8-5 odds for example. I asked Barry what odds he would give me, and he said he wouldn't give me odds. I'd have to take the bet at 1-1 with no odds. I gotta admit I'm honored that he has that much respect for my game. To be fair, he did explain that I would have a significant advantage over him since much less of my time would be devoted to cash games, and he did offer to crossbook against me in individual events (an offer I obviously declined). Even still, I was pretty stoked about getting that much respect from him.

I can't find mine either , maybe they just haven't updated the league table?
I see Phil Hellmuth has won his 11th WSOP bracelet! Whatever you think about him as a person (whole new thread needed ), you can't argue with his Holdem No Limit performances. 11 bracelets all in no limit holdem, the Brat!
I wonder if 'Brat' gets through the profanity filter?
