EDIT : Meant to say that the deadline is the end of the opening ceremony. (Probably won't stay up to watch it, but I ought to have a proper cut-off time)

Just 13 FISO-ers entered (at the moment). Clearly not as much excitement as London 2012.

Let battle commence. 16 FISO entries, and in due course I will put the FISO m/l on here. The main league table will be on the web-site in a few days time when some medals have been won. I'll put up some sort of distribution of all the entries, but I can report than no-one has picked Russia.

Good luck everyone.

I joined this game yesterday in a last minute action. So I don't expect a really good result at the end, because there was not enough time to reflect about my choices. But I think it's a nice game and I'll celebrate medal wins of "my" nations, which I even wouldn't notice, if I would not play this game. :)

At least I already won a whole set of medals today. 8-)

Thanks a lot to Shaggy365 for this game!

Put a league table on the web-site. Please let me know if you can't get it to load.

I may have to have a re-think about the league table. In other news, my PC won't turn on, so there won't be an update for a while. Took it apart yesterday to put a new processor in (which didn't fit), hoovered out the dust from inside & put it back together. Spent so long trying to get it working last night, I was still up to see GB win their first gold, and after that it didn't seem worth it going to bed, so I may doze off at my desk this morni

OK, so my PC is properly poorly. Best guess I can up with is static electricity wrecking something. Used the old lap-top and spent the evening re-typing in all the entries. Nasty error messages all over the place.

Anyway, I've used the medal table as it currently stands, so it's not really at the end of any day, but it is an update on the previous file.

Toodle-pip chaps.

Blimey! I was expecting a single figure, but followed by 2 more single figures. I expect I'll head south once the swimming is done.

Actually managed to do a proper update today. It did mean getting out of bed at 4:45 this morning to update the spreadsheet, so those people from overseas that tried to view the league table at the end of the day's proceedings will have been a bit disappointed.

If the FISO masses want to club together & buy me a ticket to Brazil, I will happily update at the end of each day.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a lot less sports this time? Either my memory is going (quite likely) or I haven't been glued to the TV as much this time round.

Should I say that it's getting a bit close at the top of the competition?

I've actually started to move up the league table, but I fear my assault on the title may run out of steam before it's all over.

If anything I've felt there's been even more to keep up with at once, particularly on middle weekend...

I think some of the lower profile sports have been less visible to us this time than in London though due to the lack of British involvement, whereas when we were at home we had a go at pretty much everything (and lots of venues for the BBC to show off as well so they wouldn't get away with ignoring anything).
