You too could follow last year's winner Nevblake and 2010 winner RiverChelt into the winner's enclosure on Friday 17th !!

Rules:

You will select a team of Jockeys and Trainers for each day of the Meeting, and also a Horse from a selected Race of the Day.

Full details of Jockeys, Trainers and Horses below.

1) You will select your team of 2 jockeys, 2 trainers and a horse for each day.
2) Entries will be accepted up until 12 Noon each day.

Budget: You will be given 50 million Guinneas, this will have to last you the four days of the Festival.

There will be 4 stables of jockeys, valued at 6m, 4m, 2m, 1m
There will be 3 stables of trainers, valued at 6m, 4m, 2m
There will be 3 groups of horses, all from the same selected race of the day, valued at 3m, 2m, 1m
Special rule: Any jockey, trainer or horse not listed can be selected for 2m.

It is therefore possible for you to spend 6+4+6+6+3 = 25m on a single day, that will leave you only 25m for the other 3 days. Budgeting will be important.

Points: You will score points if your jockeys, trainers' horses or Horses from the race of the day finish in 1st, 2nd or 3rd positions.

Points will be: Jockeys 3 points (1st), 2 pts, 1 pt. Trainers 3 pts(1st), 2 pts, 1 pt. Horses, 6pts (1st), 4 pts, 2 pts.

If your chosen horse in the race of the day wins, ridden by your jockey and trained by your trainer you'll get 3+3+6 = 12 points.

Entries: Enter you selections on this thread clearly stating which day(s) your entry is for.

You may enter a fresh team every day, or keep the same team for as many days as you like, budget permitting.

The race of the day entry must be entered each day or the maximum penalty (£3m Guinneas) will be taken from your bank.

Nevblake

Last year's winner comes here as worthy favourite after crushing the field last year. He started at a great pace and kept the distance between himself and his rivals to nearly a fence. Worthy favourite. Rating 160

Spencer4

3rd in 2010 and 6th last year, this stayer will hope to start better than last time where he found himself at the back before flying through and looking full of running as the meeting closed. Rating 155

Dickypick

21st in 2010, 2nd= last year, a dangerous customer, usually find one too good. Take out the outstanding Nevblake and we'd be welcoming back a champion! Rating 154

Hotpot

7th= and 4th, and full of confidence this year. Just needs to keep paying attention as he blew up badly towards the end last year. Stamina problem. Rating 152

GM

7th= and 8th, Thoroughly reliable though crawled to the finish after going off far too keenly last year. With that experience behind him, Gm could make the frame. Rating 151

ronny10

Novice last season, but broke the course record over the first part of the circuit before walking the latter half. Needs to pace himself better to figure. Rating 147

blahblah

A bit of a talking horse, (talks a lot). Third time on the course after decent races in 13th and 5th last year. Could make a bold showing. Rating 146

Digsby

6th= last year on his only run and brings plenty of stable confidence with him. Expect to see him move slowly through to challenge late. Rating 145.

Riverchelt

Winner in 2010, but couldn't get into the race last year despite looking good on the second circuit. Obvious danger. Rating 142

workie-ticket, Broke into the top 10 on his debut in 2011. Rating 139

Ashers, returning after being disqualified last year when going well. Rating 136

davidleve, 14th last year and hopeful of a big showing. Rating 131

Knulpuk, Usually makes up the numbers, but makes some each way appeal. Rating 118

SamD, Ran out of steam last year, should come on for that experience. Rating 115
