Great work on your stable - surely you play it straight from 4th place - don't need to make a big gamble. Straidivarius is unlikely to pick up points in the Arc which just leaves the Prix Foy for 20pts.

Just searched for your team and it seems to have disappeared -all your other teams are there but 6 is missing. Has there been a problem ?

Hi Topspur. Thanks. There isn't any problem other than I'm not doing that great (yet ). Horseshoes 6 which is my best team to date is my free team and is fourth in that comp, not in the main comp, unfortunately. I guess that that's why you aren't seeing it. I'm still hoping that I can maintain interest in both comps if I can get my subs right. My real problem is that I have hardly any obvious drops, although after yesterday when Ed Walker said on ITV that he thought that English King would go for the Grand Prix de Paris in preference to the Leger unless the going was unsuitable in France, I may well drop him, although I still believe in that horse. (Mogul another of my horses also seems to be targetting that same French race and so I can't have two going for just 30 odd points).

I agree that dropping Stradivarius could be dodgy, but if he loses in the Foy, his maximum would be 20-30 pts, and if he wins his 25 odd pts (unlikely to be odds on against the best French specialist 12f horses), and one believes that he won't prove to be the best 12f horse in Europe, that will be his lot, so he again has the same maximum and I have to drop something. Some of my other possible drops, such as Japan, could well turn up in the Irish Champion and then go on to Arc/Champions Day with 57 ish points in the locker. Decisions, decisions,

It would certainly be good to include the Ebor and Leger winners but only after I felt that I'd covered the winners of the other six non handicap bonus races, unless I felt that Santiago has a huge chance in the Leger. IMO his 3/1 odds accurately reflects his chance as being less than 25%. If you pick an Ebor horse and it wins great, but the odds are against that unless the money simply pours on Hamish or something else in the next 9 days, and if you select an Ebor loser, you've probably misused a transfer. Even the Leger could be won by something that only a minority have picked and at this point in time there is little clarity as to what will run. Hoping that both races won't be won by the first three or so in the betting is a viable strategy. I haven't made up my mind as my current three best potential Leger horses (c.f. above plus Love) are unlikely to turn up. If I feel that Palace Pier and Ghayyaith might win three of the last four 8f/10f bonus races I could even take a punt in the Ebor.

I also have a sneaking feeling that Raabihah could go close or even win the Arc.
