Nice of Trippier to get subbed before the goal there

Anyone know if Trippier is likely to miss out next game? Have Varela and Pavard rumoured to not be playing too but may prioritise Trippier if he isn’t likely to play.

When are you guys playing your wildcard? Tempted to play it today with so many players likely to be dropped / rested from my squad this game day.

If either of my Uruguay/Russia players don't start then I'll be wildcarding. If not, it'll be Hazard out to probably Werner. I've got Trippier - he got subbed early yesterday so maybe that makes him likelier to start. If I was wildcarding I'd be taking him out though.

I just read the rules and you get unlimited transfers next round anyway so I guess today is time to wildcard regardless

You only get 3 free transfers after the L16 and before the QF - I think that's probably a better time, in an ideal world, to use it, assuming though that you've got a decent team for this last group round. I'm fairly happy with mine - most have something to play for

I've got about 6 players that are a doubt for this round, 3 of them are Belgium players, one Uruguay defender who isn't playing and 2 Senegalese that are unlikely to get me points

Of course I WC out my Uruguay GK, defender and striker (Cavani's one goal is a bit blah to be fair). Not sure what happened with Russia, but was pretty close to bringing in Cheryshev so that's one eff-up avoided.

Edit. Looks like Varela didn't play for Uruguay so that's another positive.

They went with 3 at the back, I thought they would concede so I took out my 5m defender. Nevermind still have plenty to play!

Does Godin not get an assist for the 3rd goal he headed it saved by the keeper then Cavani scores

Sorry, I wasn't clear there. What happens if at the end of the round your captain hasn't played?

Ah good question . If you used all your subs then you definatly get 0.

Not sure if you have a sub left if he auto subs and takes captaincy

Yeah, it's not mentioned in the rules that I can see, making me think that nothing happens. The reason I ask is a guy in my league for some reason has Lukaku captained. I don't think he's going to play and I don't think he's going to change it.

Hummels seems safer for the 6 points. Marcelo more likely for attacking returns. Depends if you would settle for 6 points for captain? - I feel like this is the target for this round.

I'd kinda agree. I'm hard pushed to move off Cavani for either Mueller or Coutinho never mind Lukaku/Kane.
