What we've learnt so far

Post by odelay »

I thought as we're approaching the knock out phase I'd try and get together some key points to see what we've learnt from the McDs game.

It's probably all in the 'Brazilian and Merkin' but I thought I'd just try and get key points.

1. Make sure you set your formation so that those playing first are on the left, if you want to change formation without any tears.

2.Consider transfering player out if they score 5 or less. Because I can't see all the players scores it's tricky to gauge what is a low score, but I've set anything under 6.

3. Best to have a squad of average performers (cheaper players) over star players. Because defender seem to score so well and you can make changes after every game I think it's best to have players who can come in for players who score poorly.

4. Captain should be kept if they score 10 (20 after doubled)

Any more to consider?

I haven't worked out my squad for the last 16 but I'll be hoping to have 2 decent keepers and then 10 back up players who can be drafted in if need be.

1 is not true anymore, just remove excess player and change formation.

Don't play FIFA.com games ever again. I genuinely think they should be banned on FISO.

The FIFA/UEFA games have been fine in the past. Not sure what happened this time. I'm sure someone will try and interview someone to see what happened this time!

Probably, but it is worse than a joke, and not a word of apology either.

It's funny, I've thought before with FISO being such an established forum we might have some kind of direct link to the major FF companies in terms of support/feedback etc

Lol, well the SDT lot do, but I don't think we really know anything or anyone from FPL do we?

I can't even find a mention on the site of who is actually running the game on FIFA's behalf.

One small problem might be that I've been using the WC logo on my updates for the sidegame, but I'm not selling or implying that what I'm doing is officially endorsed, just that I'm using the official game.

You've not been contacted, have you? Now that would be ironic

It would be if it were their public relations department.
