It should have read

The next time England's footballers are involved in a sadness, and some div in the pub or press box or internet peanut gallery starts yelling: “They haven’t got any passion!” you’ll know what to say.

“Brazil.”

True as well. It's really simple - if your players aren't good enough and/or your manager is tactically inept, it ain't gonna happen.

Is the mobile site of the McD game working alright now? Gonna need it tonight as I won't be home at the deadline.

so whats the earliest one can get team news for this 3/4th place play off game.

I am worried that some of my dutch brazillan players will be benched for this game and I need maximum points.

I also need to be somewhere by 7.15pm and may not be able to make the transfers from my mobile.

Has there been any news on starting line ups yet?

Nothing certain yet, but rumoured:
Brazil: Julio César; Maicon, Luiz, Silva, Marcelo; Fernandinho, Ramires, Gustavo; Oscar, Jô, Willian.
Netherlands: Kuijt; Janmaat, Veltman, De Vrij, Kongolo; Clasie, De Guzman, Wijnaldum; Depay, Robben, Huntelaar.

Just kidding about Kuijt in goal ;) It'll be Vorm most likely as he is the only Dutch player that hasn't made any minutes on the pitch yet this WC. Lens might start instead of Depay and Blind for Kongolo or De Guzman. Don't shoot the messenger if it's nothing like it in the end though

This is just in and supposedly the line-up for the Dutch:

Opstelling Oranje: Cillessen; Kuyt, De Vrij, Vlaar, Martins Indi, Blind; Wijnaldum, Sneijder, Clasie; Robben en Van Persie.

Thanks, might stick with Romero in goal , although if the Argies get mullered like the Brazillians did then I might live to regret that!

Vorm costs the same amount.

I have Luiz, Sneijder, Robben, Blind and Oscar and plenty of transfer to burn so those are my main worries.

If any of them aren't playing then I will lose out.

Also thinking of doing a Messi  Mulller swap, the Argies just haven't looked the part this world cup and I am not convinced the Messi is going to do an awful lot in the final.

Take a look at my most recent post ;) This seems to be the official line-up: Cillessen; Kuyt, De Vrij, Vlaar, Martins Indi, Blind; Wijnaldum, Sneijder, Clasie; Robben en Van Persie.

Not many changes there, looks like its from a Dutch website, I thought RVP would be dropped but I guess not.

Have you go the source for this?

Thanks, early team news then... don't need to swap out any of the dutch.

Just the Messi situation to sort out!

Again, I believe it to be unconfirmed as of yet but if you have to go by one, I'd say this one is it. I also expected Huntelaar to start over RVP though.

There's a cheap line up of Dutch midfielders to be had. You have 90 seconds

I'm going heavy on a Brazilian capitulation. 8 Dutch, including Robben and RvP, so that's a few points in the bag already

RvP (pen), from Robben pull down in/out of the box

Takes a good free kick... shame they don't have "special teams" in this sort of football.

I am in my mid 40's carrying a bit of timber, played footy for many years - usually in defence - no great shakes - but "ok" - but and I am quite sincere here - I could never hit a free kick like David Luiz but I reckon I could defend better. What is he thinking - put it over the bar!

How much did he go for recently c. €40m?

I think I really will put money on them to fail to qualify for 2018 after this, if this is the best they have they are in trouble.

South American England? Sven or Capello for new manager perhaps?
