not just the weather but leading keeper buttler a doubt for next game - personally guessing he may play as a specialist batsman. shakib a doubt for today with potentially ongoing issues, dre russell missed yesterday with potentially ongoing issues having been expected to make it. thats the highest scoring AR and biggest pick pre tourney. rashid khan KO'd. a few big batsmen in at no.4 not getting too much of a go. doubts over a few big bowlers places in terms of this game re rotation and keeping their place in the team.

tricky decisions ahead in what is a bit of a game of poker/guessing game!
Agree , totally;;;; it took me a few days into the comp to get best from my teams, got it now :) abandoned matches play into teams who have burnt lots of transfers, plenty of game days left, i would say lots of teams under a total of 20 transfers/captain combined, today and tomorrow weather iffy, and as you say teams are carrying not fully fit players, will start to rotate players once qualified or even cannot go through, poker game indeed.

There's always a poker element in most fantasy games. In this case the long range weather forecast was clear, there would be some disruption. Obviously one didn't know in advance which games would be disrupted but it was sensible to base one's transfer use strategy on there being perhaps 38-39 group games for which you might need transfers rather than 44.

Hi All,

I've now added for both this and the county game, the Top 100 leaderboard to http://www.ffstuff.co.uk

It will get the Leaderboard data every 4 hours (0,4,8,12,16) , so you will be able to compare any two leaderboards you like at a minimum of 4 hour intervals.

I only started these today, so today at 12:00 is the earliest leaderboard data, but going forward you will be able to look at daily, weekly, monthly whatever you like for any two leaderboards.

If the person is not on the Top 100 "Points Since Date:" Leaderboard you are comparing with, it will simply say ">" and then the minimum number of points they would of needed to score to get to that position

Hope that all makes sense, any questions, just ask.

See yah

Frank

da-da-Dum-Dum-Dum, another one bites the dust...

There won’t be any all-rounders left at this rate! :-)

I guess that news makes Maxwell slightly more attractive...

Taunton - looks like it might be ok for Aus v Pak tomorrow (Wed)

Trent Bridge - they’ve had so much rain, with more forecast, can’t see any play for Ind v NZ on Thursday, anyone from around there who can confirm it’s absolutely saturated?

Southampton - the big Eng v WI game on Friday, was supposed to be ok, will keep an eye on how forecast is changing....

At this rate, first show of sunshine and transfers will be thrown around like confetti :P

some awkward decisions re players carrying knocks too!

looked at the fixtures, tomorrow looks in doubt, Friday should be ok , then Australia play again sat morning which looks ok at the mo, but as you say difficult to nail one, i suppose most will go with smith.

Australia look a bit more aggressive early on , experts said best to bowl first ,, time will tell

Pretty shoddy not to get more there from the Aussies.

No Stoinis and Zampa, so may even see Finchy turn his arm if they get after Maxwell.

the weather forecasts have made this a very tricky fantasy game to navigate.

must admit i usually do nothing when faced with this scenario but have mixed and matched, can't help feeling one of those two england openers is getting out very cheaply!

i guess the question is do we get another run of bad weather, in which case today should have been transfer central or if you get good weather maybe better chances for tranny usage were coming, have to admit i'm not sure where i am going next which isn't a great situation

looking forward to this game anyways!

Good prediction already! :-( Roy looks like he’s done his hamstring fielding...

A few doubled-zero scores around today, methinks...

possibly rob, might depend on the windies score, if they get over 200 would imagine he would go full monty slog fest lol. if you are intending batting him then opening slog seems the obvious route if the issue is minor. hopefully we find out more.

where/if you have him, still got the issue of assessing whether he will play next match!

Now confirmed as not fielding, so won’t bat earlier than #7...which, given a low scoring game, may well mean not at all.

Then England’s next 2 games are “easy” ones. So wouldn’t be surprised if he’s rested for those. No need to take risks; keep him fresh for later harder games...

Dont beat yourself up to much , sure to be plenty of others in same situ, including me in a good percentage of my teams , but long way to go .the good thing for me is i didn't bring in many changes , just captain switch. good luck all

Yeah, I’m sure I’m not the only one. Interesting how FOMO tends to trump logical decision-making in this game...

Ha! Did you manage to achieve the -31 that I got in one of my teams? :-)

(Luckily +483 in one of my better ones!)

quite relieved, gambled on Vince today, most will have gone Root or Bairstow, lucky neither of them did what Morgan just did, fairly min damage I think

I’d be very surprised if anyone had him in their sides, let alone captain. Given he couldn’t sit a couple of days ago, it was a miracle he even started the game! So a double miracle to then do what he did!

I’m quite happy with Bairstow + Root and no damage from Buttler + Stokes! :-)

interesting to see that even in the cricket there seem to be a few 'family members' type superleagues for even £100! i've long thought the prize should be back to sporting events but bar the world tiddlywinks championship i am not sure what £100 would buy split 5-ways  maybe the bowling and runs league should be dumped and added in! does illustrate the nonsense of them though.

you do wonder what security checks tfc carry out with the delightfully named mr lai kin foo featuring on the leaderboards. apologies to him if i inadvertently moved one of the letters in his name in my mind  that said ya never know, i remember at uni that the QMC chess team who were on a warning about my practical joking refused to believe i really had 6 genuine players in my team, instead believing i was one short and had co-opted someone from the union bar when we claimed a default on board 6 with A.Nutter, but yep andy really did exist and i am sure terry gridley would confirm anyone who spent his time drinking in kelly's wine bar in peckham was suitably named

anyways some fair weather forecast after today!

Take a gander at this

Already TFC have the Hundred League and are attracting a wider audience – its simplicity helping to appeal to families and a more diverse and younger audience.

TFC are way, way ahead of you 12345678 :D

Dont play cricket games but decided to give myself some interest in this.

4807pts with 15 transfers and 5 captains left, I've absolutely no idea if that's any good or not as currently nearly 1800 behind the leader which feels a lot. Suppose a good run of captain picks is required!

Just watched that Steve Smith lbw. His numbers have him up there with Kohli, Root and Williamson as the ‘big 4’, but he really is a village green hacker. That shot was an absolute disgrace. But fairly typical of his agricultural leg side game. Ugly player.

Ronny - sounds like you need to put your foot to the floor with a string of inspired captain picks.

I’m finding any kind of 10am work meeting a real bind now, when it’s a close call on whether to stick or twist.

Still plenty of cricket left in the groups and some twists when we hit the dead rubbers maybe.
