Any Leicestershire fans around?

I noticed that Chappell only bowled 1.2 overs

I presume he was injured

Yes the allrounders are proving problematic, especially if you have them as your captain. They all seem to be underperforming, especially the most popular choices. Maybe need to look at Ansari, or perhaps even Tom Smith if he goes straight into the Lancashire team

He batted very well for the seconds this week - 60 odd not out in the second innings and bowled a bit too. I don't think he'll be in our team on Sunday after the performance in our first game, I suspect once Anderson goes for England duty we may see him then.

Decided to try a preview and squad listing for this week, not sure if I will do it every week yet as it does take quite a bit of time. Anyway I am added to the squads
as soon as I see them.

Jimwinn Chappell is confirmed injured not sure how long though.

Some squad news coming through:

Lancashire: Steven Croft (captain), James Anderson, Tom Bailey, Karl Brown, Alex Davies (wicketkeeper), Haseeb Hameed, Kyle Jarvis, Simon Kerrigan, Liam Livingstone, Alviro Petersen, Luke Procter, Neil Wagner

Derbyshire: Godleman, C.Hughes, Rutherford, Madsen, Broom, Durston, Thakor, Critchley, Poynton, Palladino, Fletcher, Carter - Godleman returns for Slater

Hampshire: Adams, Alsop, Carberry, Vince (c), Smith, Dawson, Ervine, Wheater+, McLaren, Wood, Wheal, Tomlinson, Crane, Best -

Leics (from): Cosgrove (capt), Horton (vice capt), Robson, Dexter, Pettini, O’Brien, Ali, Hill, White, Raine, McKay, Naik, Shreck. Chappell ruled out through injury and as O'Brien hurt a finger and Eckersley remains out, Hill has been named in the squad.

Middlesex: no squad yet, but James Harris extolling the virtues of squad rotation doesn't bode well for some of their bowlers retaining their spots

Notts: Ball, Bird, Broad, Gurney, Hales, Hutton, Lumb, Mullaney, Patel, Read, Smith, Taylor, Wessels, Wood

Yorkshire: Bairstow, Ballance, Brooks, Gale, Lees, Lyth, Patterson, Plunkett, Rashid, Rhodes, Root, Wainman, Willey - Willey in for Sidebottom?

Sussex: Will Beer, Danny Briggs, Ben Brown (c/wkt), George Garton, Lewis Hatchett, Ed Joyce, Matt Machan, Steve Magoffin, Chris Nash, Ollie Robinson, Ajmal Shahzad, Ross Taylor, Luke Wells. Luke Wright still injured, Chris Jordan has gone to the IPL

No. They've all discovered a sudden interest in football.

It's true there are suddenly a lot more people interested in football and a lot more fans in the city recently. Anyway thanks for squad news, no leaning for Yorks. Presumably Willey straight in for sidebottom.

Cheers, Thought I would give the squads and information a go, but it is time consuming, Problem is the information is only useful until 10.30am tomorrow. So very labour intensive for the rewards. So this might well be a one off. Worth a try though.

Quick scan of the teams and any surprising omissions:
No Footitt for Surrey
No Gregory for Somerset
No Leaning for Yorks (Root looks to have taken that spot)
No Sidey for York (Willey plays)
B Taylor for Notts (Hales in)

Fottitt wasnt in the squad Ooozieee posted and it looks like he could facing a lengthy lay off. Not found anything more concrete yet, but the omission is due to injury.

Really mustn't cut transfers that fine! Warks/Gloucs players have left the building, but in a panicked fashion. Hopefully the weather will have less of an impact from now on.

As per normal, I've had a decent start in runs team, and average at best everywhere else!

Footitt has a side strain, but the selection of the young SA Pillans over chubby Rampaul is surprising and annoying.

Voges helped off field by both physios after being struck on the head by a ball thrown back from the boundary. Very groggy.

Lyth got a shocker from umpire Gough - first baller lbw b Ball with it comfortably missing off stump, first ball of the day as well - poor start for umpire Gough and the unfortunate Lyth just when he's trying so hard to impress the selectors as well.

Ball reminds me a bit of hazlewood. Tall and all arms and legs but hits that top of off stump at a good pace and when there's a bit in the pitch he looks a handful. Hopefully will be in the england squad
