Divisions 11/12

Post by murf »

Where are we for the upcoming (OK, not til January) splits?

I'll just look at the last one for now-

247598 teams
24,760 per division

Top of Division 10 = 222838th
=245 points

(I know they all start again on 0 points this year, just want to check my late entries won't flop into the most competitive division - 10)

Think I've got 1 in 8, 1 in 9, and 4 still in 10 (time yet...)

Not long to go now.

Now up to 249601 teams, think we can call that roughly 250000 for when the splits come.

Split Div 1/2 at 25k = 672 pts
2/3, 50k, 642 pts
3/4, 75k, 619
4/5, 100k, 599
5/6, 125k, 579
6/7, 150k, 559
7/8, 175k, 536
8/9, 200k, 508
9/10, 225k, 464

So the tighest splits are only 20 apart.

I've got 3 x 30 transfer teams in the 440s, hoping one or two could put on a spurt or I'll be focussing on division 10. Best 30 transfer team is in div 3.

I entered 12 teams at gameweeks 3 and 4 and although 2 have got into div 9, the rest are still languishing about 20-40 pts off the top of Div 10. I'm sure last aseason you could have entered slightly later and moved away from div 10.

These teams have mostly got well performing players (decided after the first two weeks) so they are usual suspects. I think the super 20s might have skewd the bottom half table stats this year.

I've also got 20 or so teams purposely left alone that will give me a spread across most of the divisions with few/ none transfers used.

I decided quite early on that I've little chance of season long prizes this year.

Can't wait until Jan 3rd so I can start using transfers.

Interesting stuff. Not really concentrated on the Divisions prize before now and note the comments that the scores are now reset to zero.

So without giving away anyone's game plan, what is the approach here? I assume within the first couple of weeks of Jan (or before) you start using your saved transfers to drop the dead wood and get in the form players. Then look out for the extra games and FA cup with your plethora of transfers.

Have 4 teams between the 550-590 mark (currently div 7-4) all with decent transfers left to go at this, so hope they don't all fall into the same division. Or maybe that would be an advantage?

interesting the difference in point scoring in some of the divisions - just having a look through some of my teams and noticed that my team in 102 place in div 5 is exactly 60 points of the leader .... the same number as my team in 1024th in div3. In other divisions 1000th place puts you more than double that behind the leader.
