Re: 2017 SBru/PLP - FA CUP - SPENCER4 Wins!!
So proud, and to beat the mighty sheepy too, I may need a 26 minute send-off. I'd like to thank...

Thank the Lord that Spencer4 was cut short by a communications breakdown,Spencer4 wrote:So proud, and to beat the mighty sheepy too, I may need a 26 minute send-off. I'd like to thank...
unlike John Terry on the weekend (bless 'im wudden yer muvver luv 'im)
who got to tell everybody how much he loved them all
each one of them individually,
and was about to thank them one by one
when someone (Conte) grabbed the mike from him ...
BTW I love JT cos I'm a True Blue since I was in nappies ... well, the 1969-70 season actually ...
which culminated in the FA Cup Final ...
which we (about 30 boarders) watched on a B&W TV with a screen about the size of my now redundant desktop screen (20 inch)
Oh those glory days when football only needed a few pullovers for goalposts and a patch of grass if you were lucky,
the school yard if you weren't
Er, was that a bit of a ramble .... oops

2017 SBru/PLP - FA CUP - Holder: SPENCER4 recommences soon ...
Hi All
This year SuperBru have introduced an FA Cup prediction competition (at last) but over the preceding years I have been running an "FA Cup" knockout competition based on the SuperBru Premiership weekly predictions from roughly week 24 onwards to week 37. The thread from last year is below. I will continue this competition for the heck of it, and as we have 33 entrants / competitors in the FISO SuperBru Premiership Prediction league, only one member will not qualify for the Fourth Round which will be based on our week 25 - 30th January predictions.
Previous winners were:
.
The rules are (as in previous years):
THERE WILL BE NO DRAWN matches:
I will be taking the combined WP (Win Points) and MP (Margin Points) directly from our FISO League in SB. I will exclude any BP (Bonus Points) or GSP from your scores. This is to reduce the probability of draws. However if a draw does occur, I will use the same countback rule that I've applied in Winter and Spring Cups, namely that:
If there is a draw (same WP/MP combo), there will be a count-back based on:
1) the individual's WP (win Points) of that week
2) the individual's MP (margin Points) of that week
If the two teams are still tied after that, then the count-back will be based on:
3) the combination of WP and MP in the last match of the fixture until one of the two teams scores higher than the other.

Re: 2018 SBru PLP - FA CUP : Holder : Spencer4 - week 24 (this week) standings will define the draw
Based on our current, week 23 standings in SuperBru's Premiership Prediction league, which are as follows:
the draw would be thus:
These standings and therefore the draw WILL change this weekend, depending on our predictions, so this draw is purely for demonstration purposes ... Good luck with this weeks predictions!!

2018 SBru PLP - FA CUP : Fourth Round FULL TIME Results are in ...
and are full of surprises:
Very tight match between your host, MickMacP and hammerddh with the latter edging it by rudely dumping Mick on his ass ... other notable results were highgreenowl beating previous champion and this round's highest scoring loser (scant consolation) fozzman ... and chrismar beating another previous champion and last years winner of almost everything, murf and the dishonour of lowest scoring winner goes to Moist von Lipwig who edges out Mark by the tiniest of margins 0.25 having scored 1.25 to 0 in the final match, Tottenham v Man U ... rotten luck, Mark, but congrats to Moist von Lip ... bitter disappointment for Surprised who arrived for his match against Trampie with only half his team, and who gave up and went home after being served lemons at half time ...
and onwards to the Quarter Finals, which will be played in Premiership matchweek 28 (24th Feb), fixtures to follow ...
