Re: Championship
Site still down would imagine with less than 2 weeks to the start it's not going to happen. Maybe they could not find a sponsor this year?Jack72 wrote:Any sign of the sky bet championship game on the horizon ?

Re: Championship
It was late last year probably due to the change of sponsor.

Re: Championship
I've been looking for this too, as have enjoyed it over the last few years. It's still a dead link so also fear the worst now, which is a big shame for those of us not supporting Premier League teams.

Re: Championship
Yesterday I finally got a reply from them as I went via the football leagues website and here's a cut and paste of it:
I replied saying the Championship starts next Friday (as I am sure there well aware of) so don't give much time for recruiting people to a private mini league does it but I do eagerly await to see what their NEW game is like....Noel,
Thank you for your email.
The League are currently finalising the last few stages of a new Fantasy Football game and hope to launch early next week.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind Regards

Nice one.
Didn't think it was going to happen. Unexpected, out of the blue even!

Re: Championship
I found the game - not officially linked to league site yet, but launching this week. Run by chroma (formerly silentmanager), and including players across all the leagues. (Silentmanager do get a bad press on here - though not always their own fault, as prizes haven't been delivered in the past, that usually being the fault of the sponsors, which shouldn't be a problem this time around). Link -

Bad news however - prize is only two tickets to one of the finals, with monthly prize of a football. Both followed by exclamation marks, to show how generous they are. A reminder that just two seasons ago the prize for this (equivalent) competition was £10,000. So it goes. Still, good luck to those who just want to play a game for fun.

Cheers for this Quizking.
Shame the prizes keep going downhill, I was in contention 2 years ago and remember it being for 10k! It was phones 4 u sponsored I believe.
Have you found any silent manager games for the prem at all?

Re: Championship
Not yet (apart from the game template, and player prices were ready about a month ago); they are probably busy getting sponsors on board, plus working on games that launch earlier in other markets, belgium for example. There's a premier prediction game already, but it's trade specific, not for general public.
Edit - just remembered, the matchoftheday magazine game is up, don't have a link but google should provide. Prize for dads is only £500 though.

Gutted I was hoping for a Championship specific game.quizking wrote:I found the game - not officially linked to league site yet, but launching this week. Re: Championship
Gutted 'quizking' is indeed correct - the game is now live and incorporates the Championship, League 1 and League 2.
It's now live and linked to the Football leagues website:
http://www.football-leaguemanager.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I however will be swerving it. #Gutted!

Will play for fun. Silent Manager taken over / re-invented as Chroma will probably continue to be a nightmare but hey ho.

Just tried on my team. Can be done easily if you click on Championship players before each pick. I've entered a team Madmass.

Re: Championship
Any good tips for players in this league?
Just spotted a steal for a goalie. Silvestri Leeds @ 3.5. They have Kenny @ 5.5. It looks like Stuart Taylor 3.5 is 2nd choice and Kenny third.

Re: Championship
I know this maybe a stupid question but how do you move players from the bench in to your team. It just seems to want to transfer players out.

Re: Championship
All pending teams accepted.
As for Champ only teams. I am disappointed it's not a champ only game too but then again I'm happy to embrace these new rules. Not a clue about Leagues 1 & 2 really but this game might expand my interest somewhat which appeals to me.
I would suggest that we have two leagues. The initial one I set up could be for the game rules and another could be set up for Champ only teams (someone would need to do this as I can't).
Thoughts? The game starts on Friday.

Re: Championship
I'm sticking with a championship side because too many players will spoil the broth for me. But if FISO end up with a chance of the League of leagues, I'll shelve my principles. Starting with a Championship side first though.
