Fantasy Football by Fantastar - RMT

Post by abuhaneefah »

Hi,

I can't find anywhere that covers this game and appreciate that people can't be of much help on this as they won't know the pricing.
Would appreciate any feedback.

I will post the rules in the next post, however looking for some help on a draft team I have:

GK - Benaglio (SWI) 3.0
DF - Vermaelen (BEL) 4.0
DF - Yepes (COL) 4.0
DF - Rojo (ARG) 4.5
DF - Rodriguez (SWI) 2.5

MF - Vidal (CHI) 6.0
MF - Oscar (BRA) 7.0
MF - Rakitic (CRO) 4.5
MF - Rodriguez (COL) 5.0

FW - Messi (ARG) 9.5
FW - Neymar (BRA) 9.5

First transfer is likely to be Vidal  Ozil as he is only in for the Australia game.
Total budget is £60M - I have .5 left over for the Ozil upgrade.

Any thoughts. comments?

Rules
How do I select my team?
Your fantasy team must be made up of 11 players containing:
1 x goalkeeper (GLK)
4 x defenders (DEF)
4 x midfielders (MID)
2 x strikers (STR)
You have a budget of £60m to buy your fantasy team.
You can only pick 2 players from a single country in the group stages, then 3 in the knockout stages.
How do I score points?
All Players will score:
1 point for every appearance.
1 point for being in the starting eleven.
2 points for every win.
2 points for every assist †.
-1 points for every yellow card.
-2 points for every red card.
-2 points for every own goal.

A Goalkeeper will score:
8 points for every goal.
5 points for every clean sheet*.
-1 point for every goal conceded.

A Defender will score:
5 points for every goal.
3 points for every clean sheet*.
-1 point for every goal conceded.

A Midfielder will score:
4 points for every goal.
1 point for every clean sheet*.

A Striker will score:
4 points for every goal.

* A player must be on the pitch for at least 45 minutes to get the clean sheet bonus.
† Assists are awarded to player who, generally-speaking, supplied the last clean pass to the eventual goalscorer. Decisions on the award of assists are final.
Further details on the above rules are described here.
When can I make changes to my team?
You have unlimited transfers up to the kick off of the first match, after which you have 30 transfers to work with.
The players in your fantasy team will score points throughout the tournament until they are transferred out of your team. The tournament is split into seven 'rounds' of matches as shown in the table below. You must transfer players into your team before the start of each round in order for those players to score points in that round. Players transferred in will continue to score points throughout the tournament until they are transferred out of your team. Players can be transferred into/out of your team during a round of matches but they will not count until the next round. The transfer deadlines for each round are:

Round Transfer Deadline Info
Round 1 9pm UK time, Thu 12 June First round of group matches - each country plays once.
Round 2 8pm UK time, Tue 17 June Second round of group matches - each country plays once.
Round 3 5pm UK time, Mon 23 June Third round of group matches - each country plays once.
Round 4 5pm UK time, Sat 28 June Last 16 matches.
Round 5 5pm UK time, Fri 4 July Quarter-Finals.
Round 6 9pm UK time, Tue 8 July Semi-Finals.
Round 7 9pm UK time, Sat 12 July 3rd/4th Play-Off and Final.

Due to World Cup match scheduling there is an overlap of 3 hours between rounds 1 and 2. Transfers will be disabled during this time.
How many transfers can I make?
You have unlimited transfers up to the kick off of the first match, after which you can make 30 transfers during the tournament. These can be made at any time. Transfers made during a round of matches will not count until the next round.
When will the squads be updated?
The provisional squads will be uploaded for each country when the game launches. When the final 23 man squads are announced the squads will be updated on the system. Players that did not make the final squads will be flagged up. We suggest you transfer out these players when there are free transfers before the tournament starts.
When are the points updated?
Fantasy team points are updated in real time while matches are in progress. The overall and mini league leaderboards are updated daily (overnight). The 'Stats Last Updated' field on the 'News Feed' tab will show the date/time at which the leaderboards were last updated.
Can I create a mini league for my friends and colleagues?
Yes. Go to 'My Team' page and click the 'Add New Mini League' link.
You can make the league private (it can only be joined by people who have your mini league code) or public (anyone can join).
How are prizes awarded in the event of a tie?
In the event of a tie on points, the fantasy team with least transfers during the prize period wins. If transfers used are equal then the fantasy team which registered first wins.
Is there more help available?
Yes. Visit the Help Pages for a comprehensive FAQ.

Looks like Vidal is out of the Australia game & with the win bonus Rakitic may not be the best pick was they're up against the hosts so you may wish to look at replacing those 2.

What's the url of the game you are playing?

Moses, Dempsey or Shaquiri IMO - all have winnable first round games and all more than capable of bagging a goal or two.

Best of luck beating your workmates!

Have had a play around with the team (midfield anyway) it now looks like this:

GK - Benaglio (SWI) 3.0
DF - Vermaelen (BEL) 4.0
DF - Yepes (COL) 4.0
DF - Rojo (ARG) 4.5
DF - Rodriguez (SWI) 2.5

MF - Vidal (CHI) 6.0
MF - Oscar (BRA) 7.0
MF - Rakitic (CRO) 4.5
MF - Rodriguez (COL) 5.0

FW - Messi (ARG) 9.5
FW - Neymar (BRA) 9.5

However it is 0.5 Mil over budget.

I'm having a hard time finding that!

Sorry, I posted the wrong team I had to take Oscar out and replaced him with Ozil:

GK - Benaglio (SWI) 3.0
DF - Vermaelen (BEL) 4.0
DF - Yepes (COL) 4.0
DF - Rojo (ARG) 4.5
DF - Rodriguez (SWI) 2.5

MF - Vidal (CHI) 6.0
MF - Ozil (GER) 6.5
MF - Pogba (FRA) 6.0
MF - Rodriguez (COL) 5.0

FW - Messi (ARG) 9.5
FW - Neymar (BRA) 9.5

Apparently Der Bild are saying Ozil might be dropped, the only certainty is Muller in the front 4.

I'm dashing through all my teams and going Ozil  Muller , at least the ones where Muller is a midfielder.

Thanks for that info.
I have taken a gamble here, everyone seems to have Neymar so I have drowngraded to Fred which means I can afford Oscar instead of Ozil.

Hello again guys.

Need some help again, I am currently in 12th place but still have a slight chance of getting one of the prizes for the first 3 places..

For the last round, the team looked like this:
Hugo Lloris (GLK, France) Value: 4.5
Benedikt Höwedes (DEF, Germany) Value: 4.5
Daley Blind (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Stefan de Vrij (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Júnior Díaz (DEF, Costa Rica) Value: 2
Oscar (MID, Brazil) Value: 7
Juan Cuadrado (MID, Colombia) Value: 5
James Rodríguez (MID, Colombia) Value: 5
Mario Götze (MID, Germany) Value: 6.5
Robin van Persie (STK, Netherlands) Value: 8
Lionel Messi (STK, Argentina) Value: 9.5
I have 15 transfers left so could change the whole team!

I am currently torn between 2 ideas, it seems to be impossible to afford 11 players for the final 2 rounds.

Option 1 (Defender Enabler)

Hugo Lloris (GLK, France) Value: 4.5  Romero S (ARG) Value 4.0
Benedikt Höwedes (DEF, Germany) Value: 4.5
Daley Blind (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Stefan de Vrij (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Júnior Díaz (DEF, Costa Rica) Value: 2  Duarte Ó. (DEF, Costa Rica) Value: 1.5 - Enabler
Oscar (MID, Brazil) Value: 7
Juan Cuadrado (MID, Colombia) Value: 5  Gago F. (MID Argentina) Value 5.5
James Rodríguez (MID, Colombia) Value: 5  di María Á. (MID Argentina) 7.0
Mario Götze (MID, Germany) Value: 6.5
Robin van Persie (STK, Netherlands) Value: 8
Lionel Messi (STK, Argentina) Value: 9.5  Müller T. (STK Germany) Value 8.0

Option 2 (Striker Enabler)

Hugo Lloris (GLK, France) Value: 4.5  Romero S (ARG) Value 4.0
Benedikt Höwedes (DEF, Germany) Value: 4.5
Daley Blind (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Stefan de Vrij (DEF, Netherlands) Value: 4
Júnior Díaz (DEF, Costa Rica) Value: 2  Luiz D. DEF Brazil Value 4.5
Oscar (MID, Brazil) Value: 7
Juan Cuadrado (MID, Colombia) Value: 5  Sneijder W. (MID Netherlands) 6.0
James Rodríguez (MID, Colombia) Value: 5  di María Á. (MID Argentina) 7.0
Mario Götze (MID, Germany) Value: 6.5
Robin van Persie (STK, Netherlands) Value: 8  Calvo D. STK Costa Rica 2.5
Lionel Messi (STK, Argentina) Value: 9.5

Given that I have lots of transfers left, its probably worth doing:
Götze  Ozil/Kroos
Höwedes  Hummels M.

There is a third option of having a Midfield Enabler:
Cheapest is 2.5

This would allow me to have Müller T./Higuaín G./RVP up front.

Here is the top of the points table to show you who is getting the most points.

Rodríguez J. MID Colombia 5.0 46
Messi L. STK Argentina 9.5 38
Müller T. STK Germany 8.0 38
Robben A. MID Netherlands 7.0 36
Neymar STK Brazil 9.5 35
Romero S. GLK Argentina 4.0 32
Cuadrado J. MID Colombia 5.0 32
Benzema K. STK France 7.5 32
Hummels M. DEF Germany 4.5 31
Neuer M. GLK Germany 5.0 30
Luiz D. DEF Brazil 4.5 29
Navas K. GLK Costa Rica 2.5 28
Lloris H. GLK France 4.5 28
Sneijder W. MID Netherlands 6.0 28
Oscar MID Brazil 7.0 27
Blind D. DEF Netherlands 4.0 27
Zabaleta P. DEF Argentina 5.0 26
Boateng J. DEF Germany 4.5 26
Cillessen J. GLK Netherlands 4.5 26
de Vrij S. DEF Netherlands 4.0 26
van Persie R. STK Netherlands 8.0 26
Garay E. DEF Argentina 4.5 25
di María Á. MID Argentina 7.0 25
Higuaín G. STK Argentina 8.0 25
Courtois T. GLK Belgium 4.5 25
Armero P. DEF Colombia 4.5 25
Höwedes B. DEF Germany 4.5 25
Kroos T. MID Germany 6.5 25
Özil M. MID Germany 6.5 25
Shaqiri X. MID Switzerland 4.5 25
Many thanks in advance for your insights....

Just read about Angel Di Maria being out.
I'm out of the loop at the moment as I am in Saudi Arabia with limited Internet and missing all the games.

I'm thinking of going with Robben and Higuin up front instead.

I guess it depends how many points you are behind the prizes?

Most will go Messi, Muller or RvP, so Higuain could be a good shout as could the world class marksman that is Fred!

I'm 29 points off the top. . So not much chance really.
I had Fred for the first game and after watching him play vowed never to put him back!
I was thinking Higuain or another Argie striker....

Aguero is allegedly back and may be rushed in with Di Maria out, but with them playing on Wed that would be a gamble.

Klose?
Schurrle?
Hulk?

I'm really thinking about who will get the points in the last 2 rounds.
If there are likely to be clean sheets or not.
Strikers only get 3 points for a goal, I can't afford all 11 players.
If the semis are going to be one nil affairs, it maybe more value to have a striker as an enabler as midfielders also get 1 point for a clean sheet.
I don't see either Semi final having a lot of goals.. but then I didn't expect 5 goals in the Spain game either!

Does the 3rd/4th Playoff count? Teams 'normally' play second string teams and give their squad players a run out.

Yeah I am pretty sure they count too.
Have plenty of transfers left and can probably wait for the team news for that.
