Re: Football Frenzy - free entry, Fiso minileague CASH PRIZE
So, is it worth having a non-prize money FISO league in which to put everyone's remaining teams, even if it's only for bragging rights?rossn13 wrote:Yes of coursetrampie wrote:Can FISO members, enter 1 team into the FISO mini-league and 4 other teams just into the general competition and still be eligable to win the FISO mini-league with the one team they have entered into the FISO mini-league ?rossn13 wrote:Only 1 team per person in the FISO league please!
We only get referral bonuses when managers sign up, not when they join the league, so it doesn't help in that respect.
Only FISO members with one team in the FISO league will be eligible to win.
The game offers me no admin powers with the league so I can't stop people joining or kick them. Instead, we'll need to establish a list on this thread of who's eligible to win.

Re: Football Frenzy - free entry, Fiso minileague CASH PRIZE
In answer to Des above, I think this will do for a minileague, there aren't that many entries in this comp anyway so the overall league will end up with over 50% fiso entries anyway I would imagine.

Re: Football Frenzy - free entry, Fiso minileague CASH PRIZE
685 entries
61 in the FISO League (not all FISOers) = 8.9% max
If all 61 max out at 5 teams each then 305 teams = 44.5% max
Des, those are the figures that I'd imagine FISO produce. More likely less in fact due to not all being FISOers and not all entering all 5 teams.

Re: Football Frenzy - free entry, Fiso minileague CASH PRIZE
This is the Fiso Prize League at deadline. No further entries allowed.
The prize fund for this league is £75, donated equally by Rossn13, Stuboy and myself.
Of course the prize fund would have been £125 had Cane not set up his own minileague with the sole intention of denying us that money, which he's managed, so well done that man.
He's also decided to enter this league, which of course he is welcome to do being a fiso member. However, seeing as he's already pocketed the £50 for most referrals he'll be taking a suitably smaller amount of the prize pool should he manage to win.
I feel there's about a one in 63 chance of that, seeing as this comp seems to be governed my the laws of luck and scheduling! Good luck everyone...

Re: Football Frenzy - Fiso minileague thread
Just want to say a big thank you to all you guys for entering the competition, seriously I was not expecting so many entries and you have contributed to a large percentage of those. I am absolutely delighted with the response it has got so far. I have got lots of ideas to improve the game further so hopefully I will get chance to implement these ideas to keep you guys interested.
I would like to contribute £25 to your FISO mini league to make your total £100 to show my appreciation to this forum. So let me know who I should send the money to. I wish I could give you more but I only have a very small budget.
I really hope you all enjoy playing!
Thank you once again.
Luke

Mighty oaks grow from acorns. This week was just the building blocks of something great to come.AKNel1 wrote:Congratulations to Surprised 720th of 720 Only way is up mate
It will be the greatest comeback in the history of sport.

Yes, £75/£25 unless it's a tie (can't see that happening).

So does that include all the players you have listed on this thread i.e the full 63 players ( non fisoers ) ?

Yes, it's all 63 on the list, but we do need to know who all 63 are, which is why we did the tedious post your ID stuff. I haven't checked it, but presume nearly everyone has been identified on this list.stitchy wrote:So does that include all the players you have listed on this thread i.e the full 63 players ( non fisoers ) ?
I did spot that there are now more than 63 in the minileague, any additions to the listed 63 will not be qualified for the prizes.

Re: Football Frenzy - Fiso minileague thread
I tried to do a Surprised with a 2nd team called Blingoist. I picked all the reams at the bottom of each list.
The result after the first round, 235 pts I must have a ton of money available for tranfers.

I am no longer bottom and in fact I even climbed 2 places to 718th. Bottom spot is 737th and I am miles clear
Anyway, it's a marathon and not a sprint. There are no easy games anymore, not at this level.

I agree with this, you can't get too happy/sad with one good/bad week. The tactic for this game would seem to be to get teams with good fixtures for about 2 months ahead, and then each month slowly transfer out the teams with the worst fixtures there and get in ones with better ones, I reckon. I didn't do that thoughSurprised wrote:

Re: Football Frenzy - Fiso minileague thread
Does anyone know when the cup multipler will be applied to the teams who have beaten higher league opponents?
A couple of my team selections, Burton and Preston, have beaten higher division sides, but have only got standard points.
If I'm missing a point then I apologise, but a few extra points might push me out of mid-table obsecurity!
