Radiator leak

Radiator leak
I've just got a cheap Skoda (£599) and sure enough there is a radiator leak. Before I go down the garage I was going to try radiator stop leak (a fiver). Is this stuff a good idea as a first step for an old car?

Vague memories of 'Radweld' working for me (or rather, to deter the pedants, working for my car) about 25-30 years ago...

Well - I've gone for it with Wynn's Radiator Stop Leak
