I won my game against I am kaan fairly comfortably, though it would have been close had I not had Defoe.

Tom, most of our players are playing away from home next week, so it may not be a high scoring match. I think a lot will depend on the Arsenal v Chelsea game... Fabregas and Lampard (if fit) against Anelka and Carvalho. Should be a good match!

Of the 20 La Log Defoe's, only 3 are in Division 2.
Thats either lucky or unlucky (depending on how you look at it).

If you're Barry and facing Defoe-less Ashers.... its very lucky.
If you're Tomuk and score a reasonable 40 but you play SOBD its very unlucky.

Luck will even itself out over the course of the season (that and the fact you all get to play Demorgoth once as well)

Week 1
Demorgoth 10 - 60 eddieb
i am kaan 39 - 73 Jules
Tomuk 40 - 80 SOBD
Welsh-Wizard 75 - 28 Grob
Barry 41 - 27 Ashers

Think you and I are the only ones with Rooney. Hatrick hero, though I suspect Giggs will get MotM in the Sun, should be enough hopefully

After last weeks embarrassing defeat and ridicule, Demorgoth bounces back and beat pointless I am Kaan in the process.

IAK is one of 4 teams without a point.

Leading the way on goal difference is Jules.... although there is little between him, Barry and Eddie B.

Week 2
eddieb 39 - 25 Ashers
Grob 28 - 66 Barry
SOBD 30 - 30 Welsh-Wizard
Jules 77 - 41 Tomuk
Demorgoth 48 - 39 i am kaan

THESE ARE WRONG AND WILL BE UPDATED TOMORROW

It's OK Barry,I concede :D - damn that Belgrade woman for not mending RVP's ruptured ankle ligaments - I bet Torres went there too (along with Riera,Benayoun & Aurelio)
Still, who needs strikers ? I'll just play with 1 upfront. 4-3-1,that'll confuse you all

I started last season with two wins and then lost 7 on the bounce. I'm hoping this season doesn't go the same way!

Looking like a narrow victory over Welsh-Wizard thanks to Arshavin. I make it 26-22 at the moment with the ratings and Star Men to come. Arshavin is pretty much a certain star man and so it'd take some weird ratings to overtake me :-)

Eddie B and Jules tie the lead on maximum points.
Eddie takes on the pointless Grob next time out (not the first time he's been described as pointless). Grob lost despite a decent score. He was playing Ashers - who was this weekends top scorer (out of all 4 divisions).

Jules faces a sturner test with Barry his opponent.

Week 3
i am kaan 28 - 43 eddieb
Tomuk 38 - 34 Demorgoth
Welsh-Wizard 34 - 49 Jules
Barry 25 - 48 SOBD
Ashers 74 - 41 Grob

Indeed you can. You beat SOBD by 58 - 30 (unofficially of course ;-)).

I'm now on a 4 game winning streak, taking Barry's (receding) scalp 41-23. It makes up for last season where I lost 7 on the bounce.

The other Div 2 winners this round are Grob, Welsh-Wizard and IAmKaan. Of course Zimm will confirm when he's done all his calculations but it's always good to get a sneak preview of the results.

Indeed it is,Jules - well, results such as this one certainly - Robin Van Persie must have returned to action unexpectedly ?

I think it was Shawcross, Dunne and Roger Johnson that got most of your points this weekend. You've been unlucky with points against so far, as I know all too well from last season. Still, at least you're off the mark for this season, and being bottom of the league the only way you can go is up!

Thanks Jules. What's more, this was a real David & Goliath H2H - bottom of the table team defeats the top dog !
(p.s.,I'm not really expecting RVP 's return prior to the next TW,I'll just manage without him - at least Fernando's back now  )
