Me v GoldenShilling this coming weekend is a game of 4-a-side as we've got virtually the same sides.

Kirkland(Chelsea Home) v Green (Man City Away)
JT v Bosingwa (both Wigan Away)
Wheater (Liverpool Away) v Cuellar (Stoke Away, but fit yet?)
Ashton (Man City Away) v Adebayor (Fulham Away)


Adebayor is the key player methinks.... Arsenal are playing Saturday, he could easily notch against a poor Fulham side and get some NOTW pts.

Wheaters MOM award and JTs "7" means it looks like its 2 out of 2 for me!!

Week 2

In the battle of last seasons relegated teams, Miles come out victorious.

Rainman is top of the table with maximum points and one of only two managers in La Log to already have hit 100 points (Mrs Bell the other one).

Fellow newcomers Welsh-Wizard and Aknel are also on maximum points.

Next weekend sees 1st v 2nd.

Quite an intruiging clash at the top versus Welsh Wizard with only 3 players the same (Gerrard, Young and Ashton)

That leaves the following match ups.

Kirkland (Hull A) v Green (Blackburn H) - Kirkland out? But I expect Blackburn to score!

A O'Brien (WBA H) v Toure (Newcastle H) - Bolton should shut out WBA, you SHOULD expect the same at the Emirates though.
Agger (Villa A) v Laursen (Liverpool H) - Unlikely Agger will play, but Laursen will concede, so no advantage.
JT (Spurs H) v Bosingwa (Spurs H) - If start of season is anything to go by, JT will outscore his fellow defender, but only 3 pts.
Wheater (Stoke H) v Neville (NO GAME) - My first big chance methinks, all aboard the Wheater bandwagon? and a shutout against Stoke?

Lampard (Spurs H) v Arteta (Pompey H) - If Spurs frailites can continue AND Frank can get the balls off Deco, this is my only other chance.

Bent (Chelsea A) v Yakubu (Pompey H) - Yak against old side.... you wouldn't bet against it.
Tevez (NO GAME) v Defoe (Everton A) - Defoe yet to hit the net, gotta start soon.

Both have a Man U player who'll be missing this weekend cos of the Super Cup.

Kirkland probably injured, Agger not been selected and Bent not living up to pre-season hype leaves me three players down by the look of it this coming weekend.

So basicially its Wheater, Lampard and Bent Versus what The Yak, Arteta and Defoe can do (0-0 draw at Goodison would be great!!) LOL.

Week 4 sees me up against Jezster who comes off the back of a narrow victory against Ebbs.

O'Brien (Fulham A) v Evra (Liverpool A) - Both have the same CS chance imho
JT (Man City A) v Bosingwa (Man City A) - JT usually gets a 7, Bos doesn't
Wheater (Pompey A) v Clichy (Blackburn A) - Clichy more chance of collecting here

Gerrard (Man Utd H) v Gera (Bolton H) - Tough one, Gerrard might not be fit either, but if he is, he should scrape it.
Young (Spurs A) v Malbranque (Wigan A) - Close again, but Villa play Monday so no NOTW chance.
Bent (Villa A) v Fabregas (Blackburn A) - Think i'd go with Fab, again, Spurs play Monday.
Ashton (WBA A) v Crouch (Boro H) - Ashton started the season better
Tevez (Liverpool A) v Keane (Man Utd H) - Could be the clincher.

Really, i think the Liverpool v Man Utd game is key as we've got players from both.
Also, Arsenals trip to Ewood could go a long way to cliching it.

Personally, i think i'd rather have Jezsters team going into this weekend, so i'll put him up as an 8/11 favourite, with the draw at 100/1 and me a 5/4 underdog.

An intriguing match up with Aknel this weekend. After an early lead at the top of the table I’ve suffered two defeats on the bounce now with my team seemingly more interested in racking points up midweek than at the weekends. Aknel was also fast out of the blocks, then suffered a defeat, but managed to scrape past Ebbs in a high scoring encounter last time out to put him joint top.

Here's how I see the player match ups.

Kirkland (Spurs A) v Cech (Man Utd H) - Although they are playing Man U, Chelsea are clean sheet machines
Terry (Man Utd H) v Carvalho (Man Utd H) - nothing to choose
O'Brien (Arsenal H) v Steinsson (Arsenal H) - ditto
Wheater (Sunderland A) v S Taylor (West Ham A) - If Wheater fit, i'd say he should scrape this one.
Gerrard (Stoke H) v Osman (Hull A) - SG to cause havoc in his 60mins on the pitch coming back to fitness
Lampard (Man Utd H) v MG Pedersen (Fulham H) - MGP not doing anything at the mo - Lamps likely to shine
A Young (WBA A) v M Taylor (Arsenal H) - Ashley hopefully over his injury, Bolton to get battered?
D Bent (Wigan H) v E Adebayor (Bolton A) - Both scoring goals at the mo, nothing to choose here?
D Ashton (Newcastle H) v F Torres (Stoke H) - Torres 60 min romp and Ashton injured
C Tevez (Chelsea A) v Yakubu (Hull A) - I'd side with the Yak here.

I make that 4 plus points to 3 victory for me...... whoooo!

Its gonna be very tight though and with Liverpool playing Saturday against Stoke its not beyond the realms of fantasy that both Stevie G and Torres could be vying for NOTW pts. It could be down to that?

I think I’d price this one up with me as 4/6 Fav, Aknel at 5/4 and the draw at 100/1.

I'm on a 2 out of 2 run now with these predictions..... definitely hope I’m right this week.
