Gents

I've made a bit of a balls up (I didnt take a cut of the scores prior to the weekend's points being added on).

Consequently I've gotta work them all out manually.

So bare with me and the scores (and tables) will be updated in good time.

Sorry.

Apologies for the shambolic running of this competition (I now know how UEFA feel)!

I think your allowed one mistake per season Zimm. Good job.

I can confirm that you have my weekly score correct at 33 points.

Complete with a 'monster' final day fixture for yourself and 2nd place, allowing me to win it by a nose!! 8-)

Remind me how many teams 'potentially' get promoted?

Seeing as no one objected (and a couple confirmed), I'll assume my calculations are correct.

Table on page one now updated.

Sorry again for the inconvenience.

Dont think I actually said.
I think to keep it interesting, 2 up 2 down makes sense for this first season (depending on numbers dropping out).

We can have a vote in the close season (something to while away those barren months) on the format the season should take.

Week 16

With the top 2 looking like a 3 horse race between Birchy, pa102aw and Gazwood, all is not lost for the chasing pack. Its still mathematically possible for 3 other teams to make it into the promotion spots.

At the bottom, Madchester is well and truly down without a prayer of escaping the wooden spoon. Although he faces 3rd place Gazwood and could yet cause an upset in this promotion race. Although with just 7 wins in 25 games (stretching back to the Prelim round) its unlikely.
That said, he did beat champion elect Birchy a couple of weeks ago.

CarlisleTillIDie 34 - 39 Birchy
Jackarmy 39 - 24 Doggfazsha
Madchester 27 - 30 pa102aw
Red Dog 26 - 21 Gazwood
Alchemist 18 - 22 Suzykins

It's the last weekend of the Competition and it's a top of the table clash between myself and Birchy. If I lose and Gazwood manages a win against Jackarmy he will move above me into second place on goal difference. :?

I don't think this weekends totals have been added or the league updated has it yet? Meaning you could both be promoted or both be battling it out for that final spot!!

Well spotted Gaz. I don't know if me or Birchy both won or lost last weekend, no doubt the Zimmerman will sort it out soon.

Hopefully you both lost but I don't think my HUGE total of 14 would've had much impact on the outcome of the title, handing madchester a shock win!

Table updated gents.

You are indeed correct... the title will go to the winner of pa102aw v birchy.

Waiting in the wings to gain promotion is Gaz (who's decent goal difference coupled with a final day win "should" be enough).

Week 17

Alchemist 7 - 14 CarlisleTillIDie
Suzykins 13 - 23 Red Dog
Gazwood 14 - 5 Madchester
pa102aw 17 - 8 Jackarmy
Doggfazsha 22 - 17 Birchy

Final day fixtures
w/e 3rd May
CarlisleTillIDie - Doggfazsha
Birchy - pa102aw
Jackarmy - Gazwood
Madchester - Suzykins
Red Dog - Alchemist

Birchy and I could come to a gentlemans agreement a la Germany v Austria and settle for a draw.

Ps. Just noticed that last weekend Birchy scored 17pts and I scored 17pts so a draw isn't out of the question. :D
