Looking at the teams, this is gonna be a hard league to win. No one will run away with the title.

Looking at my team, I should comfortably finish in the bottom one.

I'm expecting a slow start in this one, then once RVP and Ashton are back to make my climb to the summit.

I'll go for a first week loss in this UNLESS Ronaldo and Rooney do the business for me v Middlesboro tomorrow, which hopefully they will do. Glad I'm up against Fabregas v Liverpool away, couldn't of picked a much harder game for him to participate in.

if I can get anything against the Warriors and especially you Crompton (#1 in Fiso goals being obviously impressive), I'll be a happy player. I particularly hope you are 100% correct with your first sentence!

As they say - bring it on

Should be tight Hairybear.

I reckon its currently 48-23 to me (not including The Sun's marks or star men).

You have Arbeloa, Riise, Toure, Laursen, Arteta and Adebayor to play;
I have Clichy, Toure and Kuyt to play.

With Liverpool bankers for a 3-0 home win today  as long as Kuyt can get one of them, the win should be mine!

sddough gave me an absolute thumping this week.
Don't know if I added it up correct but it looks like 71-33.
He gave me a thumping the last time I played him.
Looks like I'm his whipping boy

Week 1
With 4 of the top 7 La Log scorers coming from the Premiership - it was nailed on for the highest scoring division. However some poor scores for Premiership whipping boy Dermogoth  and our antipodian Warrior the total was reduced.

In the match of the weekend, form manager Zimmerman overturns current (overall) top scorer Hairybear. On this occassion form manages to triumph overcome class.

In a tight encounter Zita edges out Arsenal4Ever by just 2 points (64-66).

Another close game was between Crompton and top qualifier Mistercuts. 47-43 to Mistercuts is enough for the 3 points.

Results
The Doc 41 - 28 Demorgoth
Arsenal4Ever 64 - 66 Zita
Crompton 43 - 47 Mistercuts
Faruge 31 - 66 sdhough
Zimmerman 73 - 51 Hairybear

Glad to get a win first game up - took me 4 games to get any points first time around - bit disappointed to win by only 2 points with 66 points - saying that I'm sure Arsenal4Ever will have another word to describe loosing by 2 with 64..

picked up a couple of Injuries this week which may impact future weeks - with Ashton already out I can't afford to loose Torres & Baines for too long ...

zimm - there seems to be a dispute between who got Star Man between Robbie Keane & Samba - either way the result of my game won't change but I should maybe have a better goal difference...

ps this may effect a few close games

internet gave Keane the points - The Sun clearly gave the MOM to Samba

We'll just have to keep our eye out for it getting rectified (and amend any scores accordingly).

In previous disputes of this nature - the internet normally triumphs doesnt it?

Will you let me know if/when the points are amended (cos it will effect the week that they are added/deducted).

never hopefully - 2 will go next window - I feel for you if i'm honest - I don't really rate my team as being any good but it is scoring 2nd best of my 6 Teams after all this time...

I hope I can stay in the Elite - but if I don't I will not loose a minutes sleep - here for the fun & competition...

the banter is fun

once I get to know you all I will feel more comfortable taking the 'pi**' - i am new - i love being here, when i lost my first 3 games I was still enjoying it.. now i'm winning I just hate it

I got 29 total for all 11 players, Hairybear got 20 points with his 1.5m defender alone - think it's safe to say I'm in for another whipping this week hehe

Well done Crompton - nice win. I have logged into my Dream Team account and can confirm my score as 32. Just hope Elano doesn't dent my goal difference to much tonight

Yep good game, I think it was who could actually get more of a team together. Me having Baines / Richards / RVP and Ashton all out and you having Baines / Torres and Ashton out.

Hopefully I'll have everyone back for the fixtures in two weeks, then I'll set about my charge.
