How would you strengthen Sporting Town?

Post by Ashers »

I have just got my team out of a situation where all players would have aged together and disaster would have struck.

I am not going to jump ship and want to push Sporting Town as far as I can get them.

So what changes would you make to Sporting Town?

Yes, I know I have a keeper issue.

I don't think you have a keeper issue. Reddington is pants & sackable. Rokvic is good enough to be first teamer until Fagundes hits 12 bars.

Eken would be better being 26 or 27 and Charter you'll probably end up selling for funds at some point but only when/if you're ready.

A 16/4 striker would be a superb addition. Don't think you've too much to do TBH.

I agree not much needs to be done. If in need to tinker youcould sell Eken now at his peak as you have FK cover, get a 32/10 for cheap and invest in a touth striker?

I have recently got rid of:

23/8 GK
29/10 Str
28/10 Mid

This money was used to stop my players ageing at the same time and to get some replacements / training.

In came:

16/4 Def
17/3 GK
21/7 Mid
16/3 Mid

Funds left: £0

So now what would you do with Sporting?

Looks like I should win promotion, but this is still a two horse race.

After three seasons of bottling it at the last moment, Sporting Town have been promoted from Division 6 and will be testing themselves in Division 5.

What made this promotion sweater was that the promotion was sealed against the team that pipped us three seasons ago - St. Pauli and they move to Division 7.

Sporting will have to bring in some more players to survive, but manager 'Ashers' is looking forward to the challenge.

Yes, was to lazy to write a new one.

I was even looking at jumping ship from Sporting at the end of this season, but now have to give Div 5 a chance.

How much money do you have?

26/12 is the benchmark to aim for. With that you can see yourself where the weaknesses are.

Eken is the most below par. Rosca is a bar below. Sorgic & Crouch are on track etc.

Just finished third in Division Five after being second for most of the season.

Do I stay with Sporting Town or is time to move to a higher level club?

Can Sporting make Division four and possibly higher?

I'd be tempted to buy an experienced Mid, sell the two young strikers and bring in one cracking one/set youth to.

Is the young keeper high in his skillband? I'd also sell one of the old defenders and bring in a farm or two.

Sad day for Sporting Town.

Relegated back to Division Six and just could not get the flow going this season.

Should bounce back first time.

Crazy, but going to have my best CR in around five seasons.

All the mids are on 18.
