Well, we've got our first point and aren't bottom, so that's something. What price Manchester Higgi going unbeaten for the whole league?

Now then, this training lark - I've just ordered form training for a few players. I'm targeting those players whose form is dipping, which seems quite logical but is there more to it than that?

nope, thats it.

Keep an eye on the players average form for the season. The more over 10 the average is the more they will increase in skill and ability at the end of the season. The more under 10 the more they will decrease. Increased skill = increased value of course.

Basically i train everyone who ever has a red arrow. Only this season there are a cpl of player sin my squad whom i am not trainingat all as i plan on sacking them very soon

Well I can't complain so far with two 3-0's, but it won't last all season. Especially as I'm playing Twin Peaks next

And spireiteontour is right about training. It's all explained in the rules as well.

Wahey, first win! I took a gamble that the Ringers would stick with 4-4-2 and it paid off. We played 5-4-1 defensive and bored them to death - are the Fancy Dans the Bolton of the league?

And as the pundits expected. Twin Peaks turned on the style. After a couple of very professional performances on the road, the fans were treated to a goal fest back at the Lodge.

Next weeks highly anticipated game against Manchester Higgi is expected to set a new TV ratings record for a live match.

OK, on to buying players - I've read the rules but I just want to check: it works like a closed bidding system where no-one sees other managers' bids until the deadline, when the highest bid wins? (based on a bidding step above the next highest bid). Have I understood correctly?

next question: when I search the transfer market and look at a player, it says my squad is full and I can't bid. However, I've had a player recommended and from that link it lets me bid on that player - so what's going on? :?

Essentially you're right. But if you place a bid that is lower than an existing bid you are then excluded from the bidding process (you can't up your bid any further).

So when you place your bid you should offer the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the player. Then if you are outbid it doesn't matter because it's more than you're comfortable paying.

The squad maximum is 20. You have 19 so you can only bid on 1 player at a time.

Should be a cracker, 1st vs 3rd, but my players should benefit from their week off. Home win.

Yes, we are in a private league, but there are also the official Xpert Leagues themselves. Youre entitled to take over a team there too. Those leagues are structured into 8 divisions, and when you apply to join the league you will take over a team in the lowest division currently without a manager.

If Jester doesnt log in and is "sacked" then you would still play his team, they would just be managerless and run by the computer. Dixie will then be able to "apply" and will take over as soon as Spirey logs in and approves it as League Admin.
