In a few words...How do I make one in photoshop?

I want to make new badges for my teams and a user avatar so need a step by step guide.

There was a guy in the xpert forums that used to take requests. There was also a utube video about kit making. Mayve ask one of the guys who designes the FPL 5AS logos?

Thing is I don't want someone to make one for me as I want to do it myself so I can change things when I want.

i managed to teach myself to use gimp (free photo shop) to do the bees logo. There's loads of help articles on the net. I know you're computer savvy enough if I can do it.

Did you design yours from scratch?

"Do what you want in photoshop" is the crux of the problem

The orange shield was a clip art image I lifted from the net rather than do one as I didn't know how at the time.

I just scoured google images looking for the perfect badges for my teams. I love all the ones I found, I think I have the best badges in the entire league for all my teams 8-) . Maybe go that route too?

Thought about that but 2 reasons why I want to do my own

1 To have my own style and add team names
2 More importantly to use as an educational tool for myself so I learn how to do more with photoshop than just edit photos.

Google is your friend. Search for Free Photoshop Alternative and Free Illusrator Alternative... Lots of good stuff out there IIRC.

Excellent, look forward to seeing the finished products.

I messed around with a few free ones using online tools such as this one a while back http://www.logomaker.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The results were crap.

Quite like the 2nd one.

Mine currently consists of 4 elemets
shield
2 dragons
banner
Team name.

I used colours but they are crap so I may revert to silver and black and one other colour as it looks a bit cheap and nasty right now

Totally forgot I even started on a badge but found it on my hard drive when cleaning it up so thought I'd post here for it to be ridiculed

I've tried a billion times to use my FISO avatar in Expert11 but with no luck, always to big even with resizing

I'm rather challenged in this particular field.
