Fowler at Anfield

Post by Johnee »

If all these internet rumours flying around are true, what effect would that signing have do you reckon? As a Liverpool fan I imagine people would rush to put him in at the price .... but then Id laugh if Spurs signed Sheringham at the thought of anyone transferring in an old and quite probably past it striker.

Can someone help me see past these red-tinted glasses? Would you sign him?

I bought him for my main team and for my new 2006-team. A bit stupid as he was cup tied.
I'm a City fan so you might call it a farwell tribute.

From what I read on sky Benitez says he might play against Birmingham depending on fitness.

Hard to tell. He's gained apr. 900K since his move and some managers might find that a good return.

Chelsea, Charlton and Wigan away are the next games for Liverpool. I think he will be on the bench
for a couple of those games.

I guess it depends alot if Cissé and Morientes manage to find their shooting boots.

When he goes down, he will go down fast. The most bought player always does and now with all the new 2006 teams having him I think unless he scores in the next couple of games you can expect God to fall from heaven, and fall hard. :!:

So, a new monday - new headaches...

Fowler never even made it to the bench against Chelsea like so many of us
had hoped. :( Will he be in the squad against Wigan midweek or should we all
jump for Defoe :?:

I think most manager will trade him out on monday so I plan to just keep him in
one of my three teams as I still think he'll have a decent chance to make it as
Benitez should be desperate to find someone to get them some goals.

For what it's worth, I'll be hanging on to him due to Liverpool's fixture glut. My headache is Reina who is also likely to drop like a stone, but I can't really see any decent replacements. VDS only has 2 games between now and March. Cech has 2 possibly 3 fixtures but Cudicini has been playing in the FA cup games. Arsenal have 3 fixtures but they look pretty tough and their defence is obviously questionable.

Im not sure Fowler will ever be a certain starter. Bentiez has said he's not fit enough for 90 minutes and I cant see that changing between Sunday and Wednesday. I think he'll get 30 minutes on Wednesday but I doubt that's enough to warrant holding onto him if he (as seems likely) gets sold today.

Fowler could well drop FAST today, so ditch him as early as possible (all those monthly teams are bound to get rid of them).
