Good luck to you two vying at the top!

In the battle for 4th and 5th I was very pleased to see Lampard not playing, as virtually everyone except me had him. I made a simple final transfer of Vidic to Toure, but Stoke have just scored so that's not gonna help me. :?

Going by my quick calculations (not guaranteed) Rick has held on and I have been pipped for 3rd spot by 1pt.

My Initial Guestimation:

Rick - 636pts
Weighty - 632pts
Mutabi - 616pts
Pa102aw - 615pts
Yardie - 600pts

I get quite different figures, and make it you've held onto third comfortably: :?

Weighty 637
Rich 631
Pa102aw 615
Mutebi 606
"Yardie" 599
:D
Stan's 593
Doomsday 590

Just had another look and by gosh I think that you are correct. That's what you get when you can't add 595 + 11, I thought it came to 616. I also forgot that I was 15 points ahead of Mutebi going into today. Looks like a cool £1000 to your old Pa. :D :D :D

First look at this comp this year - congrats to all the winners. It looks like it is a little of a monopoly so whilst interested for next year I am immediately concerned that it amy not be around to participate properly in!

Need to understand the strategy for Manager selection though....is there a thread that discusses this and provides a sensible conclusion ???

Feel a wee bit sorry for Rick all the same. He led from week 1 all the way through the competition only to be pipped on the last game of the season. :?

Top from the opening day and toppled at the death :(

I had to make a few weird transfers near the end to give myself a chance in the overall competition. So my last few transfers weren't really things I wanted to do but the guy in second had virtually the same side as me and a 14 point lead so I had to change things around a bit to give myself a chance. Unfortunately it went quite badly

Anyway, congratulations to winsomniac. Hopefully this game will be back next year when I'll return to reclaim my rightful place ;)

Admin is the Mini League Manager and he will put up a post once he receives our winnings. Like all other Fantasy Football Games they take our money in seconds, but it takes yoinks for them to pay out. :(

The halfway prize took about a month and came with a note hurriedly written in green biro so I'm guessing their fantasy football administration department isn't a big one :)
