I had a great weekend Lister, up to 6th place on the overall Leader board, 9th in Game Period 2, but most importantly in our Mini League I increased my lead over you to 18pts. £1250 is tantilisingly close. :D

Still holding on to 2nd palce in the Mini League (just). Good job that I had Arshavin in my team otherwise I would have been swamped by those behind me. :D

Very pleased with my inspired double-transfer the other night 8-)

I notice two of the top four in the FISO league have used all their transfers, I wonder if their teams will see them through the final five weeks... they look strong but injuries could cost them... gonna be interesting :)

I'm "A Yardable Offence", 6th in FISO (41st overall... a new season's peak for me after this midweek, beating the 82nd place I reached in November) :)

Thanks, this midweek went better than I could have dreamt of, I can't deny it was a massive slice of luck! As the Liv-Ars game was ambling past the half-hour mark at 0-0 I thought "I'd be happy with a 1-1"

It looks pretty much certain that we have won the £5000 Mini League Prize, but who will finish in the Top 5 and share the spoils.? I now have Weighty Wanderers breathing down my neck in third place, but on the other hand the two of us have made up ground on Rich.

No Arshavin midweek and now a fairly poor weekend has not done my chances of sneaking into the top 5 much good. Need a serious slice of luck now I think.

Rich's lead is slowly diminishing at the top of the Mini League. Can he hold on and stumble over the winning line.

2 John Morrison Married to the Gob 60 66 577
3 Ryan Baker Weighty Wanderers 51 67 573
4 Steve Legg A Yardable Offence 54 54 556
5 Iain Bruce Doomsday 72 56 553

His lead will grow again by 3 points when they realise they've missed off Wenger's 3 points for the weekend... Doomsday also affected by this (so I'm really still in 5th, although hopefully can take 4th for real tonight)

Now corrected, and after Monday's game the top 10 is thus:

1 Richard Stirland Rich Pickings 57 45 586
2 John Morrison Married to the Gob 60 66 577
3 Ryan Baker Weighty Wanderers 51 67 576
4 Iain Bruce Doomsday 72 56 556
5 Steve Legg A Yardable Offence 54 54 556

6 Ibrahim Mutebi MUTEBI FC 49 51 552
7 Neill Wilcox Lister 55 55 549
8 Derek Markey Stans Stats Stars 59 47 544
9 Terry Gridley mantring 62 44 537
10 Mark Telford The Saint's Virgins 43 42 537

The top three look to be away in their own battle but it's a right royal scrap for 4th and 5th! The big question perhaps is can Doomsday hang on with no transfers left and already one player out for the season (Jagielka)?

I would agree that the top 3 look uncatchable (well I would, wouldn't I) :D

The difference between 4th and 5th is £250 so it's all to play for. I still wouldn't rule out Lister making a move up the table over the last 3 weeks.

Yeah sorry I meant to say that 4th and 5th is still wide open between at least 5 players. Ibrahim Mutebi in particular had a good weekend and with transfers in hand is looking dangerous.

Finally got a half decent score this week to stop the slide, gutted Torres was out though it is looking like a good battle for 4th & 5th 8-)

With two weeks left Art's lead at the top is down to just 3 points.

1 Richard Stirland Rich Pickings 59 45 601 (1)
2 Ryan Baker Weighty Wanderers 53 69 598 (3)
3 John Morrison Married to the Gob 60 66 592 (0)
4 Steve Legg A Yardable Offence 54 57 574 (1)
5 Ibrahim Mutebi MUTEBI FC 49 51 570 (2)

6 Iain Bruce Doomsday 72 57 567 (0)
7 Neill Wilcox Lister 55 57 563 (1)
8 Derek Markey Stans Stats Stars 59 49 560 (1)
9 Mark Telford The Saint's Virgins 43 44 556 (1)
10 Terry Gridley mantring 62 48 553 (0)
11 Keith Clarke Baggie Boys 56 59 553 (5)

(Transfers remaining in brackets)

Anyone know who Weighty Wanderers or Mutebi FC are on FISO, out of interest?

Lost my second spot (temporarily). Three of my players were missing at the weekend, Lennon, Arshavin and Andy Johnson, but it's likely that they will be back again next week. :D

I'm not sure who Weighty Wanderers and Mutebi FC are on FISO. :?

If they are not Fiso members does the money get paid down to 7th

Weighty Wanderers are my bunch of charmed misfits - I got a little lucky at the weekend with assists from a couple of my defenders to leapfrog into second place.

I'm just stoked to be in the top five, but with 3 transfers left I might have to go for an end-of-season WBA blowout - Filipe Teixeira looks awfully tempting at £3.5m

Arteta and Bellamy look good buys Weighty. I notice that at least your Team has been in the Mini League since the very beginning Ryan, but the other team, Mutebi FC only came in at the end of October just before Chris shut up shop.

Neck & neck at the top anyone one of the top 3 could win it, and still a battle royal for 4th & 5th.

Looks as if I will probably have to resign myself to 3rd place (not unless a miracle or a disaster happens) and let Rich and Ryan fight it out for the honours. It's still close for 4th and 5th place.

1 Richard Stirland Rich Pickings 61 47 627
2 Ryan Baker Weighty Wanderers 55 71 627

Good luck to everyone still vying for places on this game!

A few enforced changes for Weighty Wanderers (...thanks Lampard  )

Let's hope Samba has a quiet day (you know what I mean Rich! )
