although you have extra funds you cant use it as when you do transfers it says your team is over budget....also wheater got 3 points for clean sheet.....no points for appearance as scoring system is basicblahblah wrote:I have gained £0.6m to play with
Maybe they felt sorry for me having two non-playing WBA defenders? What is their defence, anyway?
Or maybe the disappearing Ledley assist? How come Wheater only got 3 points?

Me too... While the "look" of this game has improved immensely, everything else about it is a mess... I go "over budget" (when I'm clearly not)... The scoring system is the worst I've seen... Too bad, the league deserves better...

I am sure I am now 600k under budget, from less than 100k, and I have done transfers....

hmm, all the values have just changed over night. The transfer I was trying to do is now not impossible, but when I try and make a different one, I get the "You're team is over budget" again

As the official game, this is turning into a shambles.
They've not updated it for days and the transfer prices seem to be completely random!!

Re: Texaco Championship Fantasy Football 2009/10
Managed to make my 'change' (note the singular) earlier in the week, but needed to make 4 changes just to get around their system mess.
George Boyd was the hub of all the problems - although I had him in my team as a midfielder, he has now been re-classified as a striker and if I kept him in I was unable to do anything. Taking him out meant I then needed to make an additional 2 transfers to get my team back under budget alongside the 1 that I actually wanted to make in the first place.
Moral to this is that transfers can be done, but it takes some doing and you will need to work off the Player List & Values (which incidentally I have just noticed has been removed) rather than your team screen. I have e-mailed them about this and hopefully may get re-imbursed some of my transfers, but not a good start to the 'Official Championship Game'!
Hopefully we'll get some apologetic & explanatory e-mail soon, or better still, maybe someone from OFL could comment on this forum

Unless there are any objections, I think I will set a deadline of 31st August for people to post their teamname on here and put their teams pending in the league. After that I will close the fiso league to new entries, and decline all those pending teams who havent posted on this thread.

Re: Texaco Championship Fantasy Football 2009/10
Anyone else needing to reshape their team after todays transfers? Smith to Pompey has dealt me a double blow, not only are Watford losing by far their best player but it also knackers my fantasy team. Dont think Danny Graham is going to get too many points without Smith setting up the chances for him.
Fortunately I dont have Huth or Tuncay in my team and not worried by McAnuffs defection to Reading as he is extremly overated on the pitch and is a poor fantasy selection as he has no end product to his game.
Hopefully Chopra will keep doing the business then!

Re: Texaco Championship Fantasy Football 2009/10
As per my previous post, I have declined the many pending entries who havent identified themselves on this thread. I've removed the code from the original post and mini league entry is considered closed as people have had long enough to post their interest. I've kept a list of the pending entries declined in case i missed anyones post.blessedbrian wrote:

Very disappointed in this game. Was all over the shop at the start of the season. Now it wouldn't let me do a valid transfer and when I tried again can't access the team -just get a message saying your team is over budget. Think I'll be knocking this one on the head.

Made some changes on Friday then got message 'Your Team is Invalid' and it won't now allow me to view my team screen to even see what the problem is. Have e-mailed several times over the last few weeks about the problems but, like others, they haven't even bothered replying.
This is perhaps the worst ran game ever - can't believe OFL have stooped to such a low.....

Re: Texaco Championship Fantasy Football 2009/10
Finally got a reply to my emails regarding
5 transfers that were made. I mysteriously slept walked
and done them at 1.14 am on the 1st sept.
Only took 3 weeks to tell me that answer.
