I tried to get in to make a late transfer but it looks as if the site has crashed. I also tried to get access via the Bild Zeitung's German version but it's the same there.

It looks like I have wasted my day as well. When clicking on 'Pick your Team' I get 'Page cannot be displayed'.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come for the rest of the footy season!

agreed disastrous. the germans should be well impressed with our typical british efficiency

i seem to have a nightmare with parting money and getting what i paid for with a crazy number of things in the uk at the moment.

think businesses have cottoned on to the fact they can break every law under the sun and this governments effing regulatory bodies will do nothing and then they can get a bonus.

as someone said it looks like this might be normal ff rubbish this year resulting in fewer entries and fewer games, but not through lack of demand but an inability to take our money efficiently

lets hope its a one off disaster but i fear the bratwurst

Bought mine soon after midnight after Chris showed this after a run through of the Bundesliga form so must've avoided any of the probs you lot have encountered.A copy function in choosing the teams and entering minileagues could've been nice.
0-0 so far Wolfsburg.

to be honest bloggie some of the clever.tv stuff has always puzzled me.

why cant they just let you pay in advance for the number of teams you want, surely this is a no brainer unless i have missed something  rather than allowing loads of entries to fail at the payment stage and making the entry process considerably longer than necessary, thus reducing possibly entry numbers and peoples enjoyment.

also having come up with the ingenious team copying idea that avoids you starting from scratch (you just edit another team), why not use it in other suitable games such as this one.

it does seem that they could make things both easier and more profitable for themselves and so much easier for us.

maybe i am missing something :?:

Hello,

The prizes for best superleague only count for leagues with a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 20!

Cheers,

Site still slow but at least working and unable to access via IE: A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage. Back to good old Firefox. :)

Managed to get a team in with about half an hour to go and got e-mail confirmation of players, but no receipt.

On the plus side, had a Wolfsburg defender and both goalscorers so not a complete wate of time...... yet.

I just changed my squad around 15mts ago for tomorrow's games no problem. I have a good feeling about this game, the concept is good it's just a pity that they had to go and make things so bleeding complicated for themselves. When you try and switch your players you click on an active player until he starts to fade and then drag him onto the player you want to bring in, but it takes a while for the players to actually switch and I think I am doing something wrong so I start clicking again !! I think I have mastered it now. :?

Goalkeeper Tip. They have Butt, the Bayern Goalkeeper as one of their most selected players, but take my word for it ... he won't play as long as Rensing is fit.

I don't know where RonaldG73 gets his information about the maximum of 20 for a Mini League from, I have just scoured the site English and German and there is no mention of a 20 limit, in fact it says just the opposite.

Every valid Mini League (leagues with 5 teams or more) will automatically qualify for the League of Leagues. This league is compiled by taking an average score of the top five teams in every Mini League - so the bigger your league, the better your chances of topping the table.

I thought after the Friday deadline your team was set for the week. That's what I interpret from the rules.
'There is one deadline every week for Bild.de Super-Manager. This deadline is 15 minutes before the first kick-off each gameweek. (normally this is on a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon). Only your starting 11 players will score points in the gameweek.'

Correct Bloggie. Not sure why pa102aw is changing his squad around. Only the starting 11 before the Wolfsburg game will count.

Are you sure about this. ? Whats the point of having 7 subs on the bench if you can't use them !! My understanding is that you can switch your team about by bringing in your subs to suit the next round of games which I have done). The Official Fantasy Golf works on the same principal only you pick 12 Golfers but only 6 of them can be active for you during the weekends tournaments. I'm not making transfers, I'm only utilising my subs. :?

I had better go back and check the rules again. I will read the German version in case something has been lost in translation.

Just checked the German version and it says.

Ersatzspieler

You can swap players from the Substitutes bench into your Team "at any time"

The best example I can give is FPL only you have 5 subs in that. Again only the 11 you select each gameweek count (apart from autosubs should somebody not play).

The English version also fails to mention this paragraph from the German Game version.

Transfer-Joker

Basically it is telling you that they will allow you a free transfer of one of your players up to the 31st August, if for instance Ribbery were to leave the Bundesliga altogether then you are allowed to pick a substitute player of your choice as long as you remain within the Budget.

It sez it in the English version also:
'Once the season starts, you will be able to make 1 transfer to your squad before September 4th and up to 4 transfers during the winter break in January.'

So it looks there is actually a limit of 20 players. And every player gets the same price!
So ik looks like we need more than one league.

my understanding and i am reasonably confident is that you can change players at any time but for scoring prurposes your team is frozen as at 15 minutes prior to first kick either friday or saturday (if no friday kick off).

what general tactics did you guys come up with?

did anyone avoid/go for really expensive players.

despite gomez being 30.00 i went for him a bit and picked a 1.00 enabler midfielder and 2 very cheap defenders from good teams who may get runs of playing at times. i generally went for 2 decent keepers.

did most people go for more balanced teams and avoid real cheapos?

I went for a good squad balance amongst my 3 sides. I'll be picking my 11 based on fixtures. Keepers I picked Rensing & Lehmann in all 3. I have a cheap defender in all 3 but I'll be playing 343 most gameweeks so not a problem. My first team has Riether & Grafite in the 11 so a good start.

3-4-3 does look the likely favourite.

think keepers will be a popular pairing amongst the leading teams.

i went for micimovic as my main expensive m/f in almost all teams and unless he does very badly would expect him to be in half the leaderboard.

The valuations are so bizarre that I decided to go the value for money route and fit in a few overpriced luxuries where I could afford it. Gomez is in one out of six and on the bench this week because I rushed the teams in without checking the rules properly. Like Pa I assumed we could make changes as we go along. Also like Pa and the Kaiser  thought Rensing would be no.1. for BM and put him in all.

Luckily my balls up may not be too costly as Wolfsburg played first.

The cheapie route could be clever as it eliminates a lot of decision making

Just had a look at the most selected list and Badstuber at 0.4 is most selected defender by a mile.

Mini League!

You can enter your team in as much mini leagues as you like there is no mention of a cutoff date (can't find it).
So maybe we can all join the fiso league and from there if we have more than 20 players set up a couple of new leagues with "hidden" passwords for the public so we make sure we don't exceed the 20 players.

Just let me know your thought!

Cheers,

Ronald
