I'll give this a go. I am an avid follower of the Bundesliga having lived in and supported Hamburg for over 20 years during the Seventies and Eighties. (I saw Keegan play his first game in the old Volkspark Stadium)

Looks and interesting game - scoring rules are a bit wierd, but hey!
I've had a good read through the terms and conditions and it appears as though UK residents are eligible to receive the prizes. Does everyone else interpret it this way?

It does look a good game with plenty of prizes, but reading the 'Terms' I'm not sure whether we'd be eligible for any of them. It says 'Bild Super Manager is intended for play in Germany'. I can't see anything else mentioned.

I can confirm that UK residents are eligible for the prizes.
The terms say the game is intended for play within Germany but this does not preclude entries from the UK and other countries. Hence the reason for making the game available in English as well as German.
Good Luck if you are playing.

Lots of prizes (top 100) - superleague prizes too for top 20 of the top 3 leagues.
I cannot believe I am considering this

First match of the season is this Friday (7th)
First cut-off is at 19.15 UK time
The weekly cut-off is 15 minutes before the first kick-off of the gameweek - tends to be a Friday evening but there are some gameweeks with no Friday night match.

Re: Bundesliga Super Manager 2009/10 - deadline 7 August
As the prizes are so good and UK residents can win I think this is definitely worth a shot, so I'll chuck a team or two into the ML this Friday.
There's two bits I am struggling with at the moment:
'All player points apart from the Bild-Score points will receive a weighting factor of 2 for each gameweek. For Example if a defender scores a goal this will be worth a total of 8 points for your team.'
As this is the case, why haven't they just put 8 points per defender goal rather than 4, with the caveat of a double weighting later on Only thing I can think is that this may be to get around the German Law that admin mentioned.
1 transfer for user prior to Sept 4th
4 transfers for use in winter break (Jan)
I presume the first transfer can be made whenever with the second during a refined period, but I cannot find anything else about this.
Can YTM or anyone else help me out?

Re: Bundesliga Super Manager 2009/10 - deadline 7 August
the weighting factor of 2 for everything apart from the journalist Bild Scores is to do with the legal situation. it's their way of showing that certain scoring elements are more important.
1st transfer can be used whenever - before 4th sept. This was done to cover Ribery leaving bayern after the season starts and lots of managers being left with him.
the 4 transfers are for use during the winter break when the Bundesliga shuts down for circa 3 weeks - 22nd dec to 15th jan - http://www.bundesliga.de/en/spielplaene/index.php

Thanks for clearing all this up.
I actually thought the 40m pricetag did a good enough job of sorting the Ribery situation out!ytm wrote:1st transfer can be used whenever - before 4th sept. This was done to cover Ribery leaving bayern after the season starts and lots of managers being left with him.

Just had a closer look at this and find the site very slow. I also think that with the 8 subs it is going to be a very high maintenance game that you will constantly have to keep on top of. Neverthless I decided to give it a go and spent about an hour picking my players but when I went to enter my team I got the message that "Registration is currently unavailable please try again later" that did it for me, I'm afraid that I'm out.

I think the site has been playing up this morning - was OK last night, but I encountered similar issues today.
If you are pulling out pa, you could always post your team on here to same me a little work!

I finally managed to get a team entered, but has anyone found out how to set your Team up in a 4-5-1 formation, I can only get the 4-4-2 option ?

click on the player you want to take off and drag his image on to the sub you want to bring on. the formation change will happen automatically.pa102aw wrote:I finally managed to get a team entered, but has anyone found out how to set your Team up in a 4-5-1 formation, I can only get the 4-4-2 option ?

Site seems to have fallen over again - just as I was about to pay.
Was planning to enter 3 teams, but these latest server/website issues have changed my mind. Hope it's not a sign of things to come for YTM this season.....

This site is diabolical - if I hadn't spent all day picking a team I would have given up a long time a go.
Is anyone else trying in vain at the moment to submit & pay?
