WhoScored.com data
Hi,
Does anyone know how I could extract the squad data in the link below from these tables to be able to present them in a different way. I just want to be able to compare defenders from different teams more easily.
http://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: WhoScored.com data
You can't extract the data ina different format as you don't control how the data is displayed on the webpage.
What you can do is download the data in 1 sheet and then use another sheet to manipulate the data by extracting the items you want from the first sheet.
Probably easier from this page
http://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/To ... -2012-2013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
as it gives all teams and means only 1 download.
How would you want the data presented?

Probably a spreadsheet extraction method.I only use notepad and excel as a viewer so someone may think of some code.Here's some in the non excel version anyhow.

Re: WhoScored.com data
Thanks for the replies everyone.
Ideally what I was looking for was a way to extract the data into Excel or another package and each time I refresh it gives me the latest available data.
Is this how you do it bloggie?

It can normally be done by web queries but it seems to be blocked on this site as they don't like people downloading data.

Copies very nicely from firefox

Not used it but this looks promising

Re: WhoScored.com data
Cut and paste is fine but it will be a lot of work to do that weekly!

Re: WhoScored.com data
For sure.
One copy and paste would be fine, but twenty each week is a bit excessive.
Any further ideas? The firefox extension looks great if it could copy the whole lot.
