GW 5 Captain Poll
Seems like an easy Salah C, Ronaldo VC this week but do you have something more elaborate in mind?

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
Bit early for silly captain punts, Salah has looked decent this season and this evening so it's time to stick with the obvious.

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
Salah for me.
I don't vex over the format of captain polls (and grateful to anyone who puts in the effort). But this poll should definitely be only 3 players long.

Tempted by TAA (c) Salah (vc), but will probably chicken out and go Salah (c) Ronaldo (vc)

That probably applies for the rest of the season as well. Maybe 4 players with KDB back.eastcentral1 wrote: 15 Sep 2021, 23:12 Salah for me.

At what point do we start doing this?wonkypenguin wrote: 15 Sep 2021, 23:33 Tempted by TAA (c) Salah (vc), but will probably chicken out and go Salah (c) Ronaldo (vc)
xGI per 90 so far of 0.73
The numbers TAA has put up so far albeit on a small sample would suggest he's a viable captain option but I still have no intention of doing so and I wonder how much of that is a bias on my own part of not wanting to captain defenders.

Next week against (bre) would be a good shout imo. In general, any game that's more likely to finish 2-0 than 4-1?senorjoeyo wrote:At what point do we start doing this?wonkypenguin wrote: 15 Sep 2021, 23:33 Tempted by TAA (c) Salah (vc), but will probably chicken out and go Salah (c) Ronaldo (vc)

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
I capped TAA in the first game against Norwich and I TC'd Creswell last season. Although both somewhat worked out, I will never again captain a defender. Captaining an attacking player is more fun whereas captaining a defender can be very "stressful".

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
To be honest I find captaining any player stressful, but that probably speaks more to my incompetence in picking a captain than anything else.From4corners wrote: 16 Sep 2021, 16:25 Captaining an attacking player is more fun whereas captaining a defender can be very "stressful".

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
I'll try and dig out the thread where I posted some Maffs stuff - but having the Lpool3 atb is stressful enough without one of them carrying my bandsstaffsw wrote: 16 Sep 2021, 18:55Same herePirlo's Beard wrote: 16 Sep 2021, 18:51To be honest I find captaining any player stressful, but that probably speaks more to my incompetence in picking a captain than anything else.From4corners wrote: 16 Sep 2021, 16:25 Captaining an attacking player is more fun whereas captaining a defender can be very "stressful".
But from vague agreed memory it could have worked that season when I think all 3 topped 200 points.

Probably salah (c) lukaku (vc) .. tempted to switch it round though for lukaku at a makeshift Spurs defence.

I'll be bringing in KDB for Bruno and capping him. Will be either a shrewd move or a shite one.

Agree. Don't think I've ever Captained a defender in this game. Not sure I ever would.From4corners wrote: 16 Sep 2021, 16:25Captaining an attacking player is more fun whereas captaining a defender can be very "stressful".

Re: GW 5 Captain Poll
Screw it... going with my gut and have locked in TAA (c) Salah (vc) and turning the computer off until after the dealine. After planning it all week, I'd be super annoyed if I don't and he hauls. Now where is that prayer mat thread!?wonkypenguin wrote: 15 Sep 2021, 23:33 Tempted by TAA (c) Salah (vc), but will probably chicken out and go Salah (c) Ronaldo (vc)
