BGW36 Transfers - Deadline 18.30 Friday 14 May

Post by Smurphy Paw »

We still have loads of games to go but with the deadline only 48 or so hours away I thought that I had better get this going.
It’s a blank game week and lots of popular Doublers (Man U, Nacho, etc.) miss out meaning that many will be taking hits.
Will you?

For me I have 2FT to get 11 out.
Salah in will be one.
Trying to decide between Coufal and Philips for the other

1FT to get 10 men out with Bruno, Greenwood, Shaw, Rudiger and Ian Nacho having no games and I’m looking at one of the latter two to shift on.

Either;

Rudiger for; Dawson, Alioski, Mitchell or Phillips.

or

Nacho for; Benteke, Welbeck or Fabio Silva.

Looking like a late season 8 point hit, that is justified on the basis that without it i'd be 3 player short.

Castagne  Dallas
Rudiger  Digne
Vardy  DCL

The Digne one I'm not so sure about. Just want whoever looks like the strongest option for the remaining games.

Maddison  JWP
Maguire  Dallas

Have done 2 transfers for a -4 to get 9 starters

Is it worth taking a -8 for 10 players?

Depends who you're taking out and who you're bringing in but as a generic answer, I'd probably say it's a good opportunity to clear deadwood.

For example, if he's fit, I'm tempted by Saiss to Cresswell. Cresswell will probably make up the -4 between now and the end and could get a decent haul somewhere.

This is probably where I'm at. Minus 12 incoming I reckon.

Dammit. I missed the Bamford price rise, so I’m now priced out of Bamford and Godfrey by 0.1m.

I have 11.3m to go into those 2 spots, to get me to 11 starters - probably Coufal and Bamford, or otherwise Ayling and Bamford.

Vardy > Adams
Saka > Son
Veltman > Godfrey

Gives me a starting X for the BGW...

-8, but hoping that balances out

2 transfers for a -4.

Fofana > Dallas
Iheanacho > Bamford

Gets me 11 if Forster plays

Rashford  Bale most likely. 20pts down in money league so will gamble on Bale over Son.

Hopefully Bale will keep his flat-track bully, hot home form going the next two weeks.

Making two changes for a 4pt hit and still only fielding 10 players...

Fernandes  Son
Iheanacho  Bamford

Missing 8 players as chelsea, utd, leicester aren't playing. Can only field 5 and 2 very unlikely ones (who will probably get benched).
Better to play wc or take hits?

If you're not going to play your WC this week then when will you?

I see your point and I was kinda serious. I was merely thinking I would have to take hits anyway to get those players back in in GW37 so was contemplating whether to take the hit in GW36 or GW37 (already used my FH)

If you WC you're almost certainly going to be successful just through the points you'll save by avoiding hits...

Unsure who is best going forward:

Bale and Iheanacho

or

Antonio and Greenwood

I have a pretty strong bench (Thomas apart) so could bench Iheanacho in 37 and 38 anyway.
