GW28 Captain
Tricky one this week with no runaway standout - I'd have captained Bruno if I still had him, but c'est la vie. Thinking of going with Kane, he looks in great form and think he'll do well against a poor Arsenal side. What are we thinking?

Agree it is a tricky one. Disagree about Arsenal being a poor side though, especially not lately.Nailer6245 wrote: ↑08 Mar 2021, 11:26 Tricky one this week with no runaway standout - I'd have captained Bruno if I still had him, but c'est la vie. Yeah you're right, I moreso meant they're not a particularly difficult fixture. I'd have them and West Ham about the same at the moment.

Re: GW28 Captain
I think Werner would be an excellent punt if you can get to him in one move.
As it stands I'm rolling so will captain Kane and hope his decent record in North London derbies continues (this is based on memory though so maybe not true).

Re: GW28 Captain
I'm thinking Werner too but he isn't in my team yet. That will be a late decision after TT's presser but if not then most likely Kane or Bale for me.
As a small aside, it helps if the option to change your vote is checked when setting the poll, especially if it is put up early in the week.

Werner, Alonso and Bale are high on my list. Leaning towards Werner.

If I hadn't just sold him then it would be on Bruno. Actually thinking of taking a punt on Martinez.

I am surprised about so much love for Werner in the comments. My first thought is
Bruno (c)
Kane (vc)

Re: GW28 Captain
If I had him I would go Bruno(C). I can see him being extra motivated as he’d want a proper bunch back from the likely thrashing Thursday when Franck Kessie comes to town

Re: GW28 Captain
Why's Bruno so popular? You'd think West Ham would be a tough match..
Considering Son myself against Arsenal's RB, whoever it is. Don't have Werner or Leicester assets.. Gündogan remains an option too, although I'd prefer a Man City def if one of them is rested against So'ton.

Fernandes for me.
Moyes likely to shit the bed against his old club. Or just do them a favour.

Re: GW28 Captain
why would Moyes want to do his former employers a favour. What are they lining him back up to replace ole. ER NO. If anything he will go there and stick it to the man and say LOOK AT ME NOW BITCHESS. Living it large with the mighty hammers about to 'break' into europe on a tighter than tight budgetthekitkatshuffler wrote: ↑08 Mar 2021, 23:46 Fernandes for me.

KDB (due a haul) against Fulham (due a fall).
I’ve written it. I’m reading it. Still not convinced by it.

Re: GW28 Captain
It's at least half right. Fulham have over-performed their xG conceded by a huge amount since the turn of the year, more even than Villa. Partly that's because Areola & Martinez are very good GKs but there has also been some considerable good fortune involved.Spreadsheet wrote: KDB (due a haul) against Fulham (due a fall).

Less sure about KDB being due a haul. He doesn't look fully on his game yet since returning from injury.

36 votes and only 2 for man city representatives.
It's got a risk with rotation but Gundog for me

Re: GW28 Captain
Traditionally the NLD is a fairly high-scoring fixture. The last 5 PL games between Arsenal & Spurs have averaged 3.4 goals per game and if you look back over the last 10 years you'll find two 5-2s, a 3-3, a 4-2 and two 2-2s. That wouldn't mean much if both teams came into the game with a defensive current outlook and it's also more possible for teams to play calmly with no fans in the stadium but it seems to me that the opposite trend is at play right now with both teams tending towards attacking.
Kane - 11 goals, 3 assists in 13 games against Arsenal
Bale - 5 goals, 1 assist in 9 games against Arsenal
PEA - 7 goals, 1 assist in 10 games against Spurs
Spurs have a W7 D3 L1 record after a Thursday EL game this season, scoring 24 goals in 11 games (2.18 gpg);
Arsenal have a W1 D0 L7 record after a Thursday EL game this season, scoring 4 goals in 8 games (0.50 gpg).

The fixture is good but Leicester are missing Maddison terribly. Would probably rather Vardy than Bruno though.Stevieste wrote:I said Bruno captain, but I'm starting to get tempted by Vardy, anyone own him and thinking the same?

Decided to lock in Vardy captain and changed vice to Mount who will play a full game against Leeds as he suspended for champions league game with Madrid.
I think mount could do well against Leeds, but i just feel Vardy is due a return and Leicester desperately need a win for top 4

Probably Kane. Tempted by both Fernandes and Cancelo too though.
