Despite another poor Spurs performance I think I will go:

Salah - Son
McCarthy - Pope

Probably wildcard GW25 for a GW26 BB - though fixture depending I might be able to save the WC.

Any suggestions?

Martinez / Meslier
Dias / Cancelo / Justin / Coufal / (Dallas)
Salah / Bruno / Gundogan / Grealish / Soucek
Antonio / (Watkins / DCL)
Soucek to Son and then Son to Rashford.
(You have 2 West ham offence no need to double, soucek is done now)

Or Justin to Tarkowski/Mee (for BRI, double24 cry/FUL and WBA)

Or Watkins to Danny Ings (for new, WOL, doouble 25 CHE,lee
(You have double villa risk management)

Also Meslier to Pope can be an option
Thanks a lot - plenty of food for thought there. Spurs’ recent performances are putting me off Son, and I always try to avoid transfers that are just for one week, and which commit me to subsequent transfers. I guess Meslier to Pope is the easy default option, putting off any major changes to next week.

Can't decide whether to do:

Pogba -> Eze or Pogba -> Rashford

Not normally a fan of sideways moves but I'm also being tempted to do Barnes -> Maddison (as well as the Pogba -> Rashford!)

Brain-fart Friday in full flow

Now confirmed to miss WBA and be back for City so shifted for Antonio who should beat the City total over 2 games!

Money is always there to go back as and when.

May just do De Gea to Pope in prep for the double and roll the other.

Was planning on shipping Robertson but I can bench him and Stones and still have a starting defence of Cancelo (liv) Dier (WBA) Coufal (ful). Don't exactly need the funds at the moment. Another option is Robertson to Mee/Dallas...but seems to leave more benching headaches.

Was planning to do Walker-Peters to Shaw but as the Southampton man is apparently a possibility for a weekend return, I'll keep him.

So now that Rudiger looks super nailed on in a Tuchel defence, after Silva's injury, I'm doing Mitchell to Rudiger.

Only an extra 0.6m and gives me a lot more depth in defence. Or a lot more opportunities to pick the wrong ones for my starting XI.

I’d be all for Rudiger short-term, but short-term hinges on if Tuchel fancies Zouma?

With the fixtures turning much more difficult for Man City, I have decided to give up on the defensive double which served me so well since gw 18. In view of the DGWs coming up and price movements, I have decided to go for

Dias  Dallas
Antonio  Bamford (-4)

Liverpool, spurs, arsenal, wolves and man utd in next 5. Free up a spot for KDB on his return
Decided to rollover due to the upcoming double gameweeks. DCL and Stones on bench.

Maybe some Burnley coverage with 4 decent fixtures and a DGW in mind. Perhaps Dallas or Chilwell (and bank some cash) to Mee or a more risky one - McGinn to McNeil.

I believe they call those 'upgrades'.

Bigger issue is who to bench and who to captain

I often just read these pages but it's fantastic to read the responses to transfers, post FFS on this page and beyond.

I present Ben Mee

Chilwell to Mee. I think Chilwell will play against Sheff Utd. (He'll probably get 7+ pts) However, I can't take future benchings and another imminent price drop.

On second thought, I'll likely have 9 DGW26 players already so I may as well get Mee in now.

Typical, I have been running 1 playing keeper all season. This week I bring in pope for double and think "why not play pope as Burnley have better chance of CS than villa"
