No Everton assets? Greenwood is an interesting option I haven't seen in any other draft team. What's the reasoning? Also, Nyland didn't make the bench in Villa's first game. Is there something I don't know that makes him a good 4 buck candidate?
Actually I am considering Greenwood over Rodriguez. His goal in the cup showed his class. He has been the best finisher at that club for a few years now and he has the high confidence and dribbling ability as the foundation.

I have 1.5m in the bank for Doherty to Trent for GW4 if Liverpool look solid again. I'm not giving up on Havertz & Werner. They get joked about on the internet but most people didn't watch their link up play along with Mount. The only problem was Werner's finishing and that is not new at all. He has always been that way. Pulisic and Ziyech are due back soon as well. This lot are going to get goals.
Looks like you may be able to get Doherty a little cheaper if you drop and re-buy him. He’s set to drop of FPLStats
Don’t forget to save the difference though or you’ll not be able to afford Trent

So the big decisions for me now are:

Martinez or Ryan - the former is the better keeper but I feel the latter plays behind the better defence...
JRod and Burke or Foden and Podence - JRod looking sharp but then again so are Foden and Pedence. Only problem is that the latter at more of a rotation risk but in a post-covid world may be more sensible to have (Burke just being bench fodder)...
Mitrovic or Wood - third choice striker - the latter the better forward IMO and less likely to see red but the former has the slightly better fixtures up to GW10...

Hmmmm......

Would go Martinez. Get Lamptey if you want Brighton defence.
Foden and Podence for me.
Wood.

After some tinkering i'm on this

Martinez/Steer
TAA/Saiss/James/Lamptey/C.Taylor
Salah/KDB/Foden/Podence/Burke
Jesus/Jimenez/DCL

Pretty happy with this. Main focus is to target City attack and Wolves fixtures whilst keeping in the ever reliables for Liverpool. The rest filled with solid/in form players. Slightly concerned with no Werner...but feel like I would be purely keeping him for the West Brom game. Feel likeI trust Jesus/City more in the next few.
Foden/Podence/James slightly rotation risks long term but that's why i've gone for somre reliable bench cover in Lamptey & Taylor. Burke or Aguissa for the 4.5m slot...Burke seems worth a punt if playing up top now and again.

Thoughts?

Don't fancy having the £4.5m 3rd forward option tbh - will all the potential rotation / covid shitstorm that could happen I want to have players on the bench that have the potential to come on for more than just 2 points if possible. With the numerous mid priced forward options (and so few premium forward options that are captain material when you also have the premium mids) I think this is possible - just one premium defence and no premium forwards with a chunky middle!

Have Lamptey as well which as you say may sway me to Martinez but then again if you are happy the defence is stronger why not go for double gains?

Do we think Steer has jumped ahead of Nyland now as AVL no. 2? Nyland played in the Carabao Cup?

I can't argue against that tbh, I really don't think there's much between most of the 4.5 keepers. Martinez I just know is a great keeper and will get saves, VIlla looked better defensively since restart but stll I don't expect many clean sheets. Think I just prefer to have a mix rather than a double up. But then again if Lamptey is on my bench, I could miss them clean sheets. Skip the next few GWs and Villas fixtures look pretty good GW6-GW15. Not sure on the Nyland/Steer situation, Steer was on the bench the other day.

Depends whether you want him in your team or not. There are barely double rises this week so far, so it is difficult to make money.

What happens if you have made 2 transfers in a given week for a hit and then decide you want to use your WC in that week ?

Does that wipe off the hit ?

This is the draft I keep coming back to:

Martinez(Forster)
Robbo James Lamptey(Mitchell Dunne)
Salah Kdb Son Foden Podence
Jesus Jimenez(4.5)

Not happy with the bench so will look to upgrade the defence with future subs.

Steer has the gloves for the Carabao Cup game tonight, and Nyland isn't even the bench keeper, that's Lovre Kalinić...

I am aware I'll frequently have a Podence vs Mitrovic benching dilemma but I'm happy to play one or the other with the best fixture/form.

Yeah, they're the ones I'm on at the minute. Would've liked to fit in a Chelsea and/or Everton player somewhere but there's just too many players I want and not enough slots for them all.

Looks close to my (currently drafted) team as well. Me likey. One main difference is that I have Sterling and Lamptey over TAA and Son.

Horrendous start !
Having to play wildcard way too early but hey ho no point playing it when season has gone

My current draft which been tinkering with all week is :

Ryan ; Steer
TAA ; Lamptey ; Taylor ; Mitchell ; Chilwell (notice few are going for him as he’s 5.5 but seems like he’s fit and could be a good differential assists wise)
KDB ; Salah ; Son ; Foden ; Anguissa
Werner ; Wood ; Bamford

Been changing my mind all week but going to go with this now and try and stop thinking about it for a few hours.

Obviously any feedback might make me rethink !!

Wow. That is scary. Almost the same 15 as yours truly (not sure if great minds think alike or should serve as a warning to you to change it up immediately!!)

Only differences are my two keepers are as yet undecided and I have Saiss + 4.5 (Lamptey/KWP/Taylor) instead of Vinagre and James.

I'm also debating finding cash for Mitro to Wood atm.

In short I reckon 10/10 lol
