Vardy or Jesus
It seems a few of us are pondering which of Vardy or Jesus to bring in for Jimenez (or somebody else)
Main advantages I see are:
Vardy
- In form
- Guaranteed starter and likely to get 90 mins each game
- On penalties
- Chasing golden boot
- No FA Cup
- Higher Expected points for next 2 weeks on FF Fix (13.2 vs 9.8 for Jesus)
Jesus
- Great fixtures!
- Man City scoring for fun
- Big rotation risk but great xG (0.92 per 90 mins this season compared to Vardy 0.54)
Currently the head says Vardy but the gambler in me wants to take the punt on Jesus. Thoughts?

Re: Vardy or Jesus
Worth considering that Jiminez has scored in the last 3 games against Everton
Maybe hold for one more week ?
Otherwise id say Vardy ?, he potential captain option for me this week

Re: Vardy or Jesus
I’ve gone Vardy. Just feels like, in a demolition/walk-over, he’s more likely to get a brace or a hat-trick, whereas Jesus will always be sharing the spoils...

Re: Vardy or Jesus
Great question. I know what you mean. The sensible move is Vardy but, like yourself, a part of me is tempted by Jesus. The Bournemouth clean sheet yesterday will have given their defence some much needed confidence and, to be honest, I haven’t been impressed with Vardy and Leicester since returning from lockdown.

Re: Vardy or Jesus
I'll be going Jesus - the fixtures are just too tempting and he'll almost certainly play some part in all the games.
Brighton, Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich - it doesn't get much better than that.
Versus
Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Spurs, Man United - not terrible but not great either.

So close that it feels like one for the luck thread next to this one! I'd go Jesus as I think his ceiling is higher but really not sure.
While this is true, Man City more likely to provide at least one demolition whereas Leicester will probably not demolish anyone at the moment. It's clearly Vardy this week but then Jesus after that.

Re: Vardy or Jesus
I'm not even sure that is that clear - I'd probably slightly favour Vardy this week, but Brighton have been walloped at home by United and Liverpool in recent weeks.Sutter Kane wrote: ↑10 Jul 2020, 14:26 So close that it feels like one for the luck thread next to this one! I brought Vardy in to captain him. Always feel content owning him after he scores.

Re: Vardy or Jesus
for me it has to be Rashford, who seems to have under-performed a bit given what his teammates have done.
I think my final few weeks will be a case of rotating through the best looking forward, but let's see.

Re: Vardy or Jesus
Rashford has taken a more creative role in the side now and Marital, Greenwood and arguably Bruno Fernandes all have more goal threat than him.
