Well after Greenwood's goal think I'll just start him, bench Rico and roll with a view to saving a transfer for fixing my team up for GW 31. Hopefully Traore starts vs Spurs, if so I should have:

McCarthy
TAA, Boly, Robertson
Salah, Traore, Martial, Maddison
Vardy, Ings, Greenwood

Rico

Whole team is away from home
greenwood is a troll, am beating you he not even starting next week, him a williams so frustrating

Vardy in for Auba.

I am considering a 4 point hit as i have 2 Sheff Utd defenders and Williams.

Shaw seems to be first choice which would leave me with just 2 Liverpool defenders for this week.

Cannot see any defender that is worth the 4 point hit yet.

With a defence of VvD, Soyuncu, Stephens, Rico and Kelly I am thinking of starting Rico in the hope he comes back in to the team, and using the 1FT to do Kelly > Saiss/Fernandez/Taylor.

Looking like a -4 for...
Auba -> Vardy
Hayden -> McNeil (covers GWs 28 & 31 with decent fixtures)
...giving me 9 probable starters plus the Dendonker/Traore 'who plays?' issue but hopefully one or the other plays, and I don't want to guess and remove the wrong one.

Have two frees, but might just do Kiko  Saiss/Taylor/Lascelles/Fernandez.

A bit boring I know, but can field 11 players either way, and happy to just bench Auba and KDB, both of whom I want to keep longer term.

Although I guess Cantwell and Dunk are both possible transfers out too.

Yeah, I've got both of them too and I'll be keeping Rico rather than Kelly - seems more likely to get his place back than Kelly. Whether he will or not is another matter but it's more likely

Already done

Auba -> Jiminez

That would only give me 9 starters for GW28.

Likely to take a hit to have an extra starter and will be getting a third Liverpool player in. So option is

Mings or Lundstram -> Robertson or
Fleck -> Mane

Already got Salah and TAA.

I don't really want kdb over the next 4 as it stands but I'm loath to remove him if city hAve a dgw in 29. So some sort of provisional announcement before the gw28 deadline would be useful!

Think I'm set on Hayden and Baldock to Pereira & Maddison/Perez/Barnes

Need to compare the stats on the mids to make the decision but a punt on Leicesters next few fixtures feels the way to go.

Thought about Lascelles but Taylor trumps him for 3 reasons:

1. He’s cheaper
2. Burnley defence is better
3. Guaranteed fixture (home to Watford) in GW31
Doing the same transfer for the same reasons.

Probably wait until later in the week to see what Traore’s likely involvement against Spurs will be. If Wolves look like sticking with their new formation and he’s been demoted to impact sub then it’s probably time to move on.

Lucky enough to have bought him at £5.3m, so I’ll make a small bit of profit.

As a Perez owner, I would advise you to pay extra attention to the "minutes played" stat for him. He's been totally useless for me since I brought him in.

What do people think of Firmino to Vardy as an option?

planning to roll, have got 11 playing (well 10 plus Rico) and look to have most of the main bases covered; Three Liverpool, Ings and Jimenez, Vardy and Barnes.

Rico is basically my 3rd sub most weeks and as I'm not sure if he's defo lost his place AND he plays in GW31 I think it would probably be a wasted FT to move him out just yet.

Ideally would like 2 FT's for GW29 as should be more info on blanks/doubles so unless something happens in the week I will roll.

It’s a difficult decision, you can add Tielemans to that too...which is probably why I will do Auba to Vardy as that’s more clear cut

Better than Maddison (I have the budget)?

Yeah I think so

Barnes Vs Madison

xG 1.77 v 0.4
xA 0.23 v 0.82
Goal attempts 7 v 6
Shots in box 6 v 1
Big chances 2 v 0
Chances created 5 v 13
Big chances created 0 v 1
Minutes played 307 v 360

Madison is more secure bit hasn't done as much in those extra minutes.

Slightly more xA and 1 big chance created, everything else less than Barnes, even taking into account the significant less minutes

Thinking similar but swapping Robertson for Mane. Sadio looks close to essential.

But it reduces my options for GW31 and probably means a FH is close to guaranteed.

Only have KDB unavailable for this GW. I wouldn't mind shifting him but the lack of midfield options this year is stark right now! I'll stick with him as I don't really need to take a hit.

As soon as Vardy grabs at least one goal he's back in my team or one of the midfielders, he's such a streaky player and I think Leicester after this little rough patch will kick on for the rest of the season.

FWIW I have gone with Perez. It’s a marginal call though and may go either way
