GW26 Captain

Post by Pirlo's Beard »

The perfect week to own Agüero. Unfortunately, the only City player I own is Mahrez, so the armband will stay where it is until Liverpool have won the title.

Why so many options?

Zaha? Wood? Richardson? Deeney? Maddison? Grealish? DCL? Traore? Ings? Lacazette?

Please.

You know you don't have to pick the ones you don't want to, right?

Only if I don’t die of old age before I find Salah.

The list should be...
Salah
KDB
Vardy
Fermino
Aguero
Other / loser choices

Salah (C) Agüero (VC)

Tempted by Kun, but there's always the chance he won't start. I'm quite sure he will, but Salah seems like a safer bet.

Aguero(C) and Salah(VC) as it stands.

Man City vs West Ham has all the ingrediens to be a tennis score. Fingers crossed Pep selects the right first 11 (Mahrez and Aguero to start).

Yeah, I'm surprised Aguero and KdB aren't getting more love. City are at home, Liverpool away. I'm considering KdB (C), Salah (V).

I'm torn between Salah and Aguero, either or both could haul, Aguero always has the risk of being benched which has me leaning towards Salah.

Whilst I know what you mean
Aguero and KDB are the only two getting any Love apart from Mo
Man City are making people nervous at the moment
Lots of live teams don’t have Aguero; and are wary of bringing him in when he has an imminent blank and question marks around his game time

Personally I’ll be hiding behind the sofa

Salah

although if I had Aguero then it'd definitely be him, have a feeling City will smash West Ham 6-0

I guess the ideal situation is to have Salah and Aguero and captain whichever takes your fancy. Whilst Norwich have tightened up at the back a bit, it’s a bit not a lot and Liverpool too are likely to score a few against them

Also surprised by this. A quick scan and some questionable mental maths suggests KDB averages nearly a point more at home than salah does away with Norwich and West Ham both having equally poor defences.

I may well go Salah but I’m surprised the consensus is so pro-Salah

Aguero, agree he is a rotation risk, but he is equally likely to haul. I think that Man City will hammer West Ham 😉

I agree the list is too long, first 35 votes are all for either Salah, Aguero or KDB.

Aguero (c) Salah (v):

City is home, 'Pool is away
Norwich is playing better defensively (conceded only 3 goals in last 4 matches)
Sergio is only 1 goal behind Vardy for G. Boot
City beat WHU 5-0 in GW1
As far as rotation risk, yes Jesus could start over Aguero, but ManC doesn't play their next game for 13 days.

At first I thought this week would be easy to give it to Salah but I'm starting to think he might get rested or at least have reduced minutes. They have a CL match the following Tuesday and surely with a 22 point lead they can rest some important players.
