Mount or Pulisic?

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
I’m looking at an Abraham, Mount, Pulisic triple up. Chelsea’s xG as a team is 2nd in the league, bettering even Liverpool. Each of those 3 have good individual stats as well, and for a cost of less than 7.5 (assuming you got Tammy early).
The risk with Pulisic is that one or two bad performances could see him dropped but if he looks good against City then I’m finding a way for him to get into my team.

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Do those pondering Pulisic think CHO is a permanent reserve, or will take someone else’s place? Or will compete with Pulisic but is worth the risk?

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
If Pulisic continues to be excellent, CHO will have to play in the Europa league / FA Cup or wait for one of the other two attacking mids to falter or get injured. He'll still get a fair few games, especially with Christmas coming.

Im bringing Pulisic in this week to pair up with Tammy, i will give Zaha a game or 2 more as that could easily become Mount alsoNorthBankRedemption wrote: ↑04 Dec 2019, 19:45 any further thoughts on this? i dropped mount but am sticking with tammy and pulisic

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Mount to Pulisic was tempting a few weeks ago, but Mount looked back at the races tonight.

And is cheaper.....
It would fund Martial to Alli for me.

In the tougher games though he seems to miss out.eastcentral1 wrote: ↑04 Dec 2019, 21:59 Mount to Pulisic was tempting a few weeks ago, but Mount looked back at the races tonight.
Ive just brought in Pulisic and ditched Martial.
Might give Zaha another game or 2 and then ditch to Mount as they look great going forward do Chelsea

That Mount misses out in tough fixtures is overstated on here. He’s failed to start one game all season

Yep. I've just gone Pulla to Mount to fund Alli from Martial. He's a ridiculous 1st Sub, but Ings is on fire?Smurphy's Paw wrote: ↑04 Dec 2019, 22:20 That Mount misses out in tough fixtures is overstated on here. He’s failed to start one game all season
Maybe Sterling needs me to bench him as a bit of a slap?

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Playing 3-4-3 with Mane, Maddison, KDB and Alli (for Martial) means Mount wouldm't get to play often so might swap him out for someone cheaper - Grealish/Cantwell/JWP

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Mount got the goal today, but Pulisic had a higher xG... in fact Puli has higher xG for the season despite having had less game time.
I’m planning to get Pulisic in as top priority, but am vaguely considering a Chelsea attacking triple.

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
I’ve stubbornly started Mount for 9 GWs and foolishly sold Abraham when he was lightly injured. And I’m stuck with Tomori also.
I might as well sell the lot and get in Alonso and Wllian.

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Has there been any trustworthy insights about the Chelsea starting line up? I know FL said that there will be a lot of rotation in the midfield during the festive period. Mount did not start in CL so my read is that he should start. Any educated guesses?

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
I think this is a good educated guess. Also Pulisic and Abraham were hauled off (perhaps prematurely given the must-win game ended with a narrow victory!) so they'll start is another educated guess. I think the proper festive period is the week either side of Christmas. There'll be rotation in most squads then - people like Vardy/Kane probably just taken off after the hour in some games.
As for the OP, I'd pick Pulisic but looking at the schedule for Chelsea over the next 2 months, I see a number of very tricky games and they come thick and fast. I'd bring in neither right now and perhaps look to sell both in the near future.

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
Surely it's naive to only look at the PL? I think there are 2 CL games he hasn't started too. Also it's not just the season, it's the last few months where it's become more prevalent - first few yes he was definitely a fixture, though Kante wasn't fit.Smurphy's Paw wrote: ↑04 Dec 2019, 22:20 That Mount misses out in tough fixtures is overstated on here. He is a class player, but Chelsea current form is useless.JanosKojak wrote: ↑16 Dec 2019, 08:47
How is Pulisic looking on the field? Any Chelsea experts? Should I get worried? Currently have the money to upgrade either Maddison or Pulisic to Alli.
Ive got Tammy and pulisic and really contemplating ditching both soon.
Id keep Maddison as he a less rotation risk than Pulisic in the upcoming xmas period

Not seen any games lately but he hasn't gathered many points (even when Chelsea have performed) for a good few weeks now.

Re: Mount or Pulisic?
I only looked at PL to make the FPL observation. He’s not missed a minute across the game weeks between post and comment and within FPL there are only 11 midfield players, at date, that have played more minutes.hancockjr wrote: ↑14 Dec 2019, 09:53Surely it's naive to only look at the PL? It’s another observation that for the last 8-10 matches he’s not scored attacking points consistently and I think he’s one of those young players who would benefit from a rest and some time off. For those reasons I am likely to lose him this week and hope he does get a rest. But at the time I posted this there was a rumour doing the rounds about his imminent benching that had no source and also proved not to be true
