What's the better option for 3 GWs till I likely wildcard?

Van Dijk  Digne
Greenwood  Barnes (-4)

Van Dijk  Maitland-Niles (or other 5.1m or lower defender)
Greenwood  Callum Wilson (-4)

Or is it even worth a hit at all?

I think I prefer the first despite not knowing of any viable 4.4’s - they’d be rotating with Lundstrum for the third defender spot. Any obvious choices I’m missing?
Guilbert? Not going to keep clean sheets in the double figures but meets the price requirement and seems to have assist potential?

Trying to talk myself out of Boly - however very much the player I'm looking at...potential boni points and some half decent fixtures

Trying to hold fire till after the European games but my instinct is that having both Salah and Sterling has upset the balance of my team a bit.

So, considering downgrading Sterling- either to Son/De Bruyne, allowing an upgrade of Dendoncker (probably to Mount of James) to allow for a 5 man mid, or an upgrade of Ayew (Wilson or Pukki). Alternately move Sterling to someone like Martial, Fraser, Mount or Richarlison giving me even more cash to spread around.

It feels like an early turning point after some errors (mainly not joining the Pukki/Mount bandwagon and dropping TAA rather than Robertson), and an early assessment that a 5 man mid could be the best option. But equally knee-jerking after a curious Man City defeat doesn’t feel right...

Apologies for the brain dump!

I have a good 5 man mid, but think 3 up front might be better. Saying that I feel if the defenders tighten up then forwards might be impacted more than the mids.

Torn this week.

Van Dijk isn't proving worth his cost at the moment. I think TAA is the only Liverpool defender worth considering, but then Liverpool don't have great fixtures for the next 7, so I'm wondering if it's too risky to just go without altogether until then...

Only 1 transfer this week however and Ceballos sticks out as a more urgent transfer. £0.5m in the bank, so do I upgrade to perhaps Buendia or Lamela, or just go cheap and downgrade to Cantwell. I'd be quite content playing a Norwich midfielder for their next 7 fixtures.

I thought you’d do the other one but as I already have KDB I do hope you’re right.

any news on Tammy's knock? After watching how poor the Hammers were yesterday i'm looking to shift Haller to Abraham. I haven't been following price changes this year like I normally do but is he likely to rise even though he's flagged?

Is it a stupid idea to sell Salah for a mid like Richarlison in order to change formation to 3-4-3 and bring in Aubameyang for Greenwood? Would still have a wildcard in hand to get him back if needed etc.

Was thinking about potential returns and difficulty managing expensive transfers.
I hope KDB does well for both of us.

Maupay (thank you for the goal) Tammy before the rises

Funded by, and this is the weird one, Zouma  Kiko Femenia. 4.4m dross for my bench, but Watford can’t keep letting goals in can they, new (old) manager and all that, means promoting Lundstram to my team which I’m less unhappy about than I thought I’d have been before the season started.

Just Saw that and I missed his rise! It's interesting to me that his flag was removed and he was allowed to rise in price but Robertson, who is starting for Pool tonight, hasn't had his flag removed. Annoyed

Very unlikely.
Pep will want to erase that loss from the players' minds and will try to annihilate Watford.
Aguero is essential.

Yes, Aguero benched tonight. He's 99% locked in for captain now. Both Silva's rested tonight incidentally...

Injury not serious. Looks like he will miss game v Liverpool but should be back after that.

Not sure if him not being in the CL squad was a good or bad thing for the PL game Image

Also, KWP is available again now.

4.9 is a great price but too risky for me yet.

Bad thing!

Really not sure what transfer I'm going to make, zero in the bank. I have two free but am forced into playing Lund, Robbo, Digne pending injury news to Emerson and Kelly, but also have Mount situation. May have to downgrade my only Liv def to free up some flexibility funds for GW7 and just play Lundstram and Cantwell instead of Mount. Press conferences are key for me this week - and a Friday night game does not help matters.

my transfer was McGinn ( so many goal attempts but nothing to show for it  ) Mount  just before the price rise - however I just play Dunk this GW instead :) I dont see anything that warrants a -4 the fact that Mount played on after the injury suggested bruising only, but the angle that ankle turned looked PAINFUL

After the CL games (in which Sterling played and Aguero was rested) have decided to revert back to the strategy I started the season with (which I bottled after Sterling got the 20 point haul in GW1).

That strategy was to go WITHOUT Sterling and have a slot for a premium striker upfront instead. With Cantwell also presenting himself as an infinitely better budget pick than Greenwood, the timing now looks just right for:

Sterling  Cantwell
Greenwood  Aguero

This improves the flexibility of my team significantly, with Cantwell a viable first XI pick and Aguero HOHO can be employed (if desired) with Kane and Aubameyang now just a transfer away.

Plan is KWP to Otamendi.

Will just bench Mount and play both McGinn and Cantwell.

McGinn is tempting, can see him score this weekend.
