Hi all is it worth dumping Laporte asap or wait until after the internationals? I have Alex Arnold in mind but only have 0.5 in the bank but am worried his price will drop

Re: Transfers GW5: Sat 14 Sep 11:30
I'm going to transfer out Perez today, this will give me 6.5 to spend and I am considering the following (next four fixtures shown for context):
Lanzini - avl/MNU/bou/CP
D James - LEI/whu/ARS/new
McGinn - WHU/ars/BUR/nor
Cantwell - MCI/bur/cp/AVL
Further alternative:
Ederson to a cheaper goalie and D Silva in for Perez for a -4
Anyone have any strong opinions on which way I should go?

I’m worried Arnold may get injured for England. And Laporte is still 6.5. It’s a hard choice. Maybe I should wait until after Englands second gameStevieste wrote: ↑04 Sep 2019, 17:27Dump him ASAP.Pep Roulette wrote: ↑04 Sep 2019, 16:28 Hi all is it worth dumping Laporte asap or wait until after the internationals? What about Sokratis? I see he's played 90's in all 4 matches so far with 1 clean sheet already and has a price of 5.0. Or is there an injured teammate who's also earmarked to take his place when he's healthy?
Spreadsheet wrote: ↑03 Sep 2019, 08:10 I’m carrying Zouma And therefore interested in replacing him this week. Given their good run coming up, I’m drawn to an Arsenal defender. I know both have cover/competition on their way back to fitness, but who would you prefer from:
Maitland-Niles - 5.1, relatively attacking, but Bellerin due back early Oct and will be first choice with AMN dropping into Europa League team?
Kolasinac - 0.3 more than AMN but is more first choice than Tierney, who may be blooded in the EL team too. Also, Kolasinac made 5 assists last season and 4 and 2 goals the one before, for 11 goal involvements in 4000 mins. AMN has 2 goal involvements in 1800 mins over that time plus one assist this season.
Think I’ve written myself into choosing the latter for 0.3 more...

There's a bit of depth there at Arsenal CB. Problem is, they're all average. Chambers, Holding, Mustafi and Mavropanos are waiting to give equally average performances. Well Holding is cheap so if he nails a place, he's probably close to a must have. I'm steering clear for now.

Re: Transfers GW5: Sat 14 Sep 11:30
Yes, as SK advises, due to the impending return of Holding, I’m less interested in Arsenal CBs. In actual fact, I’m not really interested in the defence points from Arsenal as these have been historically scant, making a CB even less appealing, even cheaper ones like Sokratis or Holding.
The reasons I’m toying with Kola are rooted more in his historically sound goal involvement combined with Arsenal’s relatively strong strike force and their decent fixture run coming up. I can’t see Tierney coming as 1st choice from the off, so feel a fit Kola is pretty nailed and potentially good value.

Re: Transfers GW5: Sat 14 Sep 11:30
Worth pointing out his attacking output did come from the fact he was playing wb more often than not offering the only width on the left. Would be expected (not exactly likely however!) To put in a bit more to the defence with Auba offering the width (but cutting in).Spreadsheet wrote: ↑05 Sep 2019, 19:02 The reasons I’m toying with Kola are rooted more in his historically sound goal involvement combined with Arsenal’s relatively strong strike force and their decent fixture run coming up. Summary: expect less attacking points, certainly not more?

Laporte to TAA presuming he's okay after the internationals.
EDIT: Looks like TAA might go up tonight so may well do it and gamble that he's okay.
EDIT: Could be that he wont rise due to wildcard transfers but not sure it's worth the risk.
EDIT: As I already have Liverpool cover in VvD, I could just switch Laporte to another City defender. Walker I guess, but am almost tempted by Otomendi as a bit of a differential.

Can't decide what to do here, would appreciate advice. Team is:
Pope
TAA Robbo Walker AWB
Sterling KdB Mount McGinn
Kane Pukki
SUBS: Woodman Den Kelly Wickham
1.9 ITB, 1 FT
The extra cash was the reason for going Kane over Salah, but don't know what to do with it! I do have exact cash for Kane, Mount->Salah, Barnes (-4) but would like to explore alternative choices keeping Kane.

Kane is awesome, just a shame he not got the players from England around him at spurs or he bag a hat trick every game

Thanks Steve! I did consider that move, it works reasonably well for the next 4 fixtures. After that, I might have to get rid of two them.. Will adding a seventh attacker help? AWB, Wickham-> 4.0, Haller maybe? Or a classic one transfer move for 2 weeks in Mount->Richarlison?Stevieste wrote: ↑10 Sep 2019, 17:39If get rid of AWB for VVD and forgot Salah for a few weeks and see how you go.SirMattBugsby wrote: ↑10 Sep 2019, 17:26 Can't decide what to do here, would appreciate advice. Hmm, looking at your team, I'd say you prefer Richarlison over Haller Nice team btw, 4-4-2 with Cantwell enabler. Considering Otamendi over Zinchenko?
Yeah, rolling seems like the best option, especially to assess Chelsea and the cheapies. Thanks!

I do like Haller and richarlison it will be close between them both, but if had to choose id go for Richarlison personally.
Im sticking with Zinchenko until he loses his places, he has been close to getting assists recently and i dont see him losing his place anytime soon

Re: Transfers GW5: Sat 14 Sep 11:30
Really considering;
Kane > Aguero
Zinchenko > Burnley defender
With my 2 frees.
Always a risk to take out Kane as you never know when he's going to haul, but the idea of having the 3 best Man City attackers as set and forget (already got Sterling and KdB too) is really tempting. Right when Zinchenko might start to face some rotation too.
If I go for a £4.5m defender, I've then still got money in the bank to upgrade Pukki to the likes of Abraham or Haller should his goals dry up.
